I can honeslty say i need glasses. its got to the point where i dont even try to read subtitles on tv as there just a blur. and i cant see like motorway signs till i get about 20 foot from them (sat nav ***). i've been meaning to go for an eye test for the past 8 months but i've just constantly put it off.

That can be dangerous for other drivers mate you should get it checked out. If you dont like glasses you can always try contacts, its only bad for the first week then it becomes a toddle.
I wear glasses, for the last 5 years i've been wearing them all the time, my eyesight has always been bad, but i never really noticed it until i was about 10 for some reason . Worn glasses ever since.

Its not that bad. i can see everything just can't make out writing till im fairly close. i'd be ****** if i had to do that eye thing on the driving test. but i really am gunna get an eye test soon
stumpy187, your eyesight might not be that bad but your understanding of the FAQ appears to be, you need to edit out the swearing sharpish or you'll probably be suspended.
I do know the feeling though about distance, I can make out objects pretty well in the distance but I couldn't read a bus number from probably 50m away and be absolutely certain.
