Btw, I've seen a couple o' people saying Speed Mode is useless... but you do know it allows you to reload and switch weapons quicker right? Useful for that annoyingly-long LAW opening animation. ;)

I cant get into it, whats wrong with me, just finished COD4 loved it but im still pottering through the first level here, it just feels as if there is something missing, i want to like it but for some reason i cant. :confused:

I use speed mode quite a lot, good for when you run out of ammo for big guns and only have a pistol. But its true calling is with the shotgun. Zoom right up to them and blow them off their feet at close range. BANG!!! :p

It's more stable if you crouch or go prone, don't think there is a key to hold your breath like in other games though...if there is I never used it :)

It's also useful for running through mine fields without getting blown up:D
 
Im stuck on crysis im in the big alien room you enter via a huge circular door, with another door the same at the other end, but it wont open, and theres ~10 aliens swimming around, Iv killed them all, but nothings happened, im stuck in that room with no open doors as far as I can tell, any ideas people ?

The door at the other end of the room will open on its own after a while, I was hiding next to it and picking off the aliens at the time.

On the very first part of that I think you have to kill the aliens to move on yes. After that you have to stand next to fires that you will find along the way so that Prophet regens.
 
i see, bloomin hard the counter runs to fast and never kill the aliens fast enough, im killing them at a rate of say 2 every 10/15 seconds, shoot them constantly then when there close enough i just grab them, seems to kill em, still to slow :(
 
How long is this game, I dont want to complete it too quickly otherwise its wasted imo. I'm about 20mins past seeing the professor down in the basement and the alien freezing everything.

If you mean on the ship, you're at the end pretty much i'm afraid. :(
