my mate had this and i was totally baffled by why he couldnt do it think he said he restarted the whole level and it completed then :confused:
 
I just bought this game today after trying the demo & discovering it actually runs quite well on my X1900 with everything on "High" (But object details on medium) at 1024x768 with no AA.

It's strangely satisfying to engage the cloak & jump out of a moving pickup truck at high speed & put it right through a building full of soldiers and then pick off the survivors from a nearby bush with a silenced rifle :D:D
 
i couldnt by bothered to get the whatever it was from the armory to finish off the big mother alien...

i kept respawning and dying straight away, and thats on easy

the gameplay at the end is appalling

that ship looked beautiful on high settings though, almost real

i just wish this game didnt have aliens in it ffs
 
just finished it on hard and must say well impressed, the level detail is amazing, its not perfect though, quite a lot of bugs encountered along the way, sometimes you would just die by running into a tree, and shooting baddies at point blank range would have no effect. and some of the levels after the big ice dome were stupidly hard. all in all a very enjoyable game
 
i'm at the bit after mine closes in and i go into the alien ship? anyway i've floated about through it, now i'm stuck, i'm in a big room and there is a window of all the aliens, i go through some big door and it's another big room, and there is like electricity runnning between these 2 posts, sorry it's hard to describe, if any of you know what i'm on about could ye tell me what i'm suppose to do :p
 
oK the multiplayer is now borked with Server Authentication Failed errors and yes it's a legit cd key and full game.
Any clues have tried the cd key entry it's there i can only conclude they have messed up something with the auth servers or gamespy.
 
Is the only difference to DX 10 servers night/day cycle coz thats all i spotted when i went on one.

I thaught they were supposed to have destructable buildings and vegetation in? :confused:
 
Well I just got on to the tank level - it stuttered like mad. My install is fairly clean and defragged.

I hope the new patch fixes things :p

im in the cemetery bit close to the beginning and there are koreans with the same suit on as me? can't get past them!! they are cloaked and when i try to strength grab them I get shot by another in the back
 
For the suited Koreans I just cloaked, then moved behind one, unloaded a clip in his back and repeated for the rest. Easy as pie, you dont even have to move after the first one, just clock and go prone and they come looking for you.
