heh i said earlier on, if you play lampard and gerrard together stick as 4-4-2 but make gerrard stick wide right. he's effective down there.

He can do a job out there but he's far more effective in the middle when he has the freedom to push on. First half today i thought he done ok and it was only when Barry came off and he had to sit that you didn't see much of him.

shocking is all i can say about that match, just sat at work and watched it, apart from crouch not a single playe ron that team looked as though they wanted to win at all, serves them right tbh.

Jose Moriniho (sp?) is the favourite with corals (where i work) for the england job at 7/2...seen someone mention Shearer, hes 10/1...

We had that in Mclarens first game. We won 4-0 against Greece if anyone here remembers. However, that was the last we saw of that combo of players and formation as we went through the motions the next game and had a ganders at 3-5-2 ... LOL

Just heard on SSN that Barwick can't sack him as there is a process to go through.

The 10 board members need to meet with the next FA board meeting set for the 29th November.

They would have to call a special meeting, discuss McClaren and then agree to sack him, Im guessing this is a majority desicission as the SSN didn't say exactly how it worked.

Also McClaren is due to fly to Durban for the World Cup qualifying draw this Friday !!!!

Lampard has been awful for England for ages,

Oh well, even if England did get through, i can't see them getting past the group stage in the championship itself anyway if they play like this.

i know he's stronger n the middle and my opinion is that one of him and lampard should be relegated to the subs bench for the sake of the teams balance, i'm just saying that if the manager insists on playing both of them then gerrard will be better on the right as lampard will obviously stay in the middle.
