My friend said theres a dark side to the game, is that true?
well completed it last night only getting 61 stars.
amazing game kinda rushed into it as want to get COD4 and Assassins creed. Already sold Galaxy, might buy it again when it's cheap though just to get the extra stars.
That is a surprise.
This is the best way to do it if you want to get 120 stars. beat the game and then go back and get the rest of the easier stars whilst interspersing them with some of the other tasks that might be a bit more troublesome and/or annoying. There's still a few levels I'm not sold on though. I pretty much skipped through quite a few when more started to open up - I've done the first star on about 6-7 galaxies, and no more after that.
Dusty Dunes is pretty fun too, and the speedy comet on that is enjoyably difficult. Was trying to do the second ball level (from the green star) earlier, and that looked like a pain too.

It sounds silly, but I like the harder levels. I like the frustration of not quite being able to get the star a few times, and swearing like a trooper every time I mess up. It makes it the more satisfying when I actually complete it.
I don't see why people would buy a Mario game and not get all the stars. Does not compute. It's effectively a waste of money - it's not like getting, say, 100% secret areas in a Quake game, because every star is different and takes some figuring out, greatly increasing the game's longevity.well completed it last night only getting 61 stars.
Can you beat the game and go back and get the rest ?
I've been holding off finishing the game and am currently on 104 stars.![]()
I think I just got frustrated with the second ball level as I was trying to do it fairly quickly this morning. I did the first one, er, first time, and as you say, it's just about going carefully really. What's the problem on the DD speedy comet star? The trial galaxy ball run is not as hard as it looks, did it second go. Just a matter of going sloooow as there's not time limit.
Fair enough. I just found some of the levels (like the water ring one) didn't click with me as quickly as the more exciting "weeeee space and flying" ones.Did the opposite to this. Completed every level to 5 stars as it came, and consequently opened the path to Bowser's galaxy and the garden rather early on. I find this more enjoyable as it helps get immersed into the level.

Pretty sure you can. In fact supposedly after getting all the stars you can ******.
Just completed it with 120 stars, does anyone know what happens when you complete it the second time round?
I realise this is late, but I've been taking my time through the game, but I just felt the need to say:
Anyone who stopped playing the game after getting the princess is a damned fool.
The best part of the game is the later stages and some of the purple coin challenges. Luigi's is a git.![]()
Some of the purple coin challenges were a *****!
