Yea hardly seems worth even overclocking these going to test this card at stock bet it's still 30 fps average on the benchmmark.

Over 3fps is good isn't it? more than 10% depending on what you were getting.
The important framerate is the minimum though. If 3fps increases from 18 to 21 say then worth overclocking.
Also I have found same as you that I can clock my BFG 8800GT higher without ATI Tool installed.
Did a succesful 3 part gpu test last night on Crysis at 750/1858/1982 so I may have been too early blaming BFG for my poor overclocking card.
You always win easyrider have you any stories of how you you lost out or messed up big time ?
It was good fun and we managed to bag a bargain. We will have to do it again with the next card?

Did you consider picking up another 8800GTX with the loose change in your pocket and try some SLI'ing?
Yea what is going on here fails ati tool artifact checker but passes crysis bench if you uninstall ati tool hope someone gets to bottom of thisOver 3fps is good isn't it? more than 10% depending on what you were getting.

what do you think is more reliable the crysis pass or ati tool ?or a conflict with ati tool and rivatuner somehow surely if it's passing crysis benchmark and hours of gaming the clock is stable?
I not so sure about ATITool, it simply doesn't get the card hot enough. The hottest load I've seen is the Ozone3d benchmark, followed by Crysis and looped 3dmark06. ATiTool is quite a few degrees lower. Just indicates that not all of the card is being loaded. You'll literally see in game when an overclock is too high, I mean its not like a cpu where the errors are hidden.what do you think is more reliable the crysis pass or ati tool ?or a conflict with ati tool and rivatuner somehow surely if it's passing crysis benchmark and hours of gaming the clock is stable?
(assuming that they're gonna be faster than the GT).
I've been using a 24" lcd @ 1920X1200 for nearly two and a half years, no going back.Your thoughts?

Your really missing the 'big picture' mate, sell one of your 8800GT's and get yourself a decent monitor, seriously you will come and thank me afterwards!![]()
