Which one are you looking at? Why spend so much on such an ordinary car?

Yeh, A cooper is tempting.. my Mum has a black one.. i'll have a quick peek on my local dealers website, see what they have in stock, perhaps an older one..
another vote for the fabia vrs, remapped with a uprated intercooler will see 200 odd bhp with loads of torques. they are really cheap to insure too, i just got a quote and it was £1600 FC (19, 0ncb, in my own name), i've heard there a bit understeery but suspension upgrades will soon sort that out, just like the golf gt tdi.
infact, i might even get a fabia vrs next, there really well priced.

Who was that with if you dont mind my asking?
my two pennies... focus tdci remapped to 145bhp... 48 mpg.. and very cheap insurance, and a really good car...
Sorry for slightly off topic but wasnt new thread worthy, do remaps effect insurance premiums? And if you bent the car and it was discovered you hadnt admitted to the 'mod' then the company wouldnt pay up?
I think what Fox is trying to say is that your budget will get a very nice Polo 1.2. Cheap on insurance and very nippy and loaded with kit. Cant think of anything better for the money. Might as well spend the whole budget on one as you want it to be as new as possible to avoid it breaking down.
