I've decided to go back to Eve Classic. With premium i got about 40-50fps in space on my own and about 25fps near a busy station. But every 5 minutes or so i'd get about 60 seconds of 10-12fps aloneand 4-5fps outside stations or in missions. Which made it unplayable.

Now im back on Eve classic. I'm getting a staggering 90fps in station and 75fps outside the Emperor station in Amarr with it dropping to 45-50fps which i spin the camera around fast. And all i have to give up is the shiny graphics. I'll go back to them after i get a new computer sometime tomorrow.

EDIT - I have a 256mb GeForce 6800 GS so its a pretty poor card compared to modern stuff.

Have you tried lowering the cache size to low or off? Could me a ram issue if you've got 1gb ram because by default eve selects high.

Not acording to the news post on the EVE website

You must have Windows installed not on the primary partition.
or
You must have at least 2 hard disks and the OS must be installed NOT on the primary, but the secondary hard disk.

Absolutely essential for an Abaddon though, I'm afraid. It's very much worth it though, once you've got the cap stabilised; the Abaddon is probably the best level 4 mission runner if you can use it properly. Does unholy amounts of damage and has a very solid tank.
 
Is it just me??

My friend came over tonight and wanted to show me his new HAC's but as he cant quiet fly them yet
I logged my character on so he could trade me so that we could see what they looked like with the
new graphics update.

As soon as he saw my screen he asked why the graphics were v poor compared to his.

Seeing as i have just fresh installed windows and replaced my old X1900XTX with an HD3870XT I couldn't
believe he was slagging off my graphics!

So he showed me a screenshot he had taken with xfire and right enough I could see the difference instantly.

So we decided the original download was maybe nerfed and re-downloaded the client and installed it fresh.
It looks like my textures are set to low and his are on ultra in comparising.

His GFX: HERE

My GFX: HERE

He has 1680X150 and I have 1600x1200. He has 16AT and 16AF and I have 16AF an 8AA.

Obviously not a problem there, but textures, any others got/had same problems??

Just ordered a 3 month time code off the shattered crystal site.

My paypal number is set to my mobile, with no international code.

It's been 20 minutes and they still haven't rung. =/
 
im pretty sure it has to be a landline? but not 100% sure wait a bit took some time for them to ring me first time :) think it was like an hour or so :rolleyes:

Can be up to 3hrs. It should say on the website that over the last xx days the longest anyone waited was xx hours.

Have you actually downloaded the premium patch and not just had the actual in game update?
 
Recently came back to WoW after an almost 16 month "break", but the BC novelty is wearing off pretty quickly. Now from what I hear this is a bloody hard game that not's really beginner friendly that feels like work at times but is there some sort of a tutorial at least to show the ropes? Also is there an OCUK "guild" of some sorts or is that what corporations are?

Yes, he has. That's the new lot, just messed up slightly.

Keeps crashing my PC for no apparent reason =/

Never had any trouble with it before or any other game, still same Windows install.

Can't really do anything :(

Do you have the premium?

I not... you might have all the stuff in CCC set to max performance and his is set to max quality
 
Its the new megathron skin, so it is the premium content, looks awful though, I'd imagine some graphics setting has been turned down in the quality settings as stated above.
 
Is anyone in here using EveMon, I found it brilliant as I now know exactly which way to train to use mining barges the fastest :).
I hate fighting lol, I never use the right weapons ie. they can shoot me from a very long distance before I can attack.
