Have i made a mistake ?

Is valid in your opinion !! I found R:FOM quality! Hardly boring or dull at all! Ninja Gaiden Sigma is an Xbox game but still a classic! And a suped up one at that! I played the orignal Gaiden (am a big fan) and still found the PS3 one quality!! Thats excluding the people that may have never played it before! Tekken is Tekken full stop! Dark Resurrection looked quality on the PS3 and online support was the cherry. Heavenly Sword, gameplay and graphics amazing, a little too short tho admitally but hardly a poor mans Gears Of War! Warhawk was pretty good imo, and Ratchet n Clank i found good, admitally wasnt the greatest game but still entertaining a lot better than other games currently out. But obviously our view on games differs a little!

God of War, not Gears of War. I don't know how I could compare Gears of War as they're nothing alike, nor could I comment Gears of War 2 to be better as it's not out... we've not even seen official screenshots :p. For me, Heavenly Sword was awful graphically when playing. The cutscenes were beautiful (except for her stylized hair, grrr) and some of the floors in battle were nice, but having 10 enemies on screen looking identical and worse, moving at exactly the same time in the same animation cycle is unforgivably apalling. It has an intriguing story, but the enjoyment came entirely from the cut-scenes as the gameplay was so poor. Thankfully the shooting bits offered a bit of enjoyability as well as throwing shields with the Six-Axis as that was quite entertaining.

I understand some people would enjoy Resisitance, it's all opinion. I've mentioned why I thought it was a terrible game in SP several times, ranging from the poor graphics, uninspired environments, apalling character design, shocking weapon selection, awful sound and soulless gameplay, but it's a different kettle of fish online.

You say Tekken is Tekken, but that's my point. The series really hasn't moved on since 1994 bar a few minor changes. Comparing it to the complexity and array of options in something like VF5 for example leaves it wanting. VF5 is a great PS3 game, but the Xbox360 version released later with online support which was a shame, so I sold my PS3 version.

Warhawk would be a lot better if Battlefield wasn't out, or even Battlefield 1942. IT just offers less in almost every way bar aerial dog-fighting, but it was designed with the Six-Axis in mind and it just didn't work with it, to have any semblance of control you needed to turn it off.

Ninja Gaiden is undoubtedly a classy game, and the PS3 version is the best version, however the Xbox version of the SAME game is around 4 years older, so it's difficult to say whether I could could it as a PS3 must buy, it's just, for the most part, costmetically different.

I said in another thread that I'd find it difficult to discount Ratchet & Clank as some people will love it, but for me, it offered zero in terms of originality of revolution, I was expecting a 90%+ game and it offered, for me, nothing close to the enjoyment I was hoping for, but some people will love it. It's a good looking game, nicely stylised environments, average textures but a gorgeous colour pallette, so it offers something for some people. I was hoping for more. It will still be Jak & Daxter for me I guess, as that's always been the best platform series of the last generation for me and I expect brilliance from the new one.

The games on the PS3 do equal the quality of the 360s! Take Drakes Fortune for example!
We have to take that as an example though as it's the first top class exclusive. I've seen better graphics though in Call of Duty 4.

I aint seen a game with better graphics on any console yet! Though that isnt the be all end all, Drakes gameplay is also quality! Defaintly enough to invalidate your point on lack on the quality in games!
1 top quality game in 12 months isn't that great, the Xbox360 in 2 years has had 2 'Game of the Year' games, both exclusives. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter in 2006 and Bioshock in 2007. I would hazard a guess that Game of the Year 2008 will be between Mass Effect and Mario Galaxy too, but time will tell.
However, you pointed out one exclusive of absolute quality, but the Xbox360 offers several.

What I was talking was in multi-format games, the PS3 should be matching in ALL or better in ALL, not so poor in comparison.

Again I much prefer XMB to the 360 dash, its a hell of a lot sleeker and smoother, looks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much nicer! And it lacks hardly nothing in comparison to 360, when it should do really as its a year behind in development!
XMB is a nice idea, but what it actually offers isn't great. The Xbox360 offers almost all the same options (bar Blu-Ray and PCM obviously) but it's also full accessible whilst in-game. It lacks the ability to do what the Xbox360 can do in game, and these are the elements people wanted BEFORE the PS3 was even launched. Xbox360 had theirs out 12 months before the PS3, so it's not like Sony didn't have a benchmark to beat, they didn't create the XMB the night before the PS3 was released.

Also, XMB has been out longer if you include the PSP... so, it's actually ahead of development of the Xbox360.

I meant God of War! Too many title names in my head!

How are Heavenly Sword's graphics awful!?
Boring geometry, average environments ( they are so boring... a corridor, a courtyard, corridor, a courtyard... again and again), low resolution textures on a lot of walls and rocks. There's nothing special at all in any element of design in that game.

As I said, the graphics are nice in the cut-scenes, but other than that it's just a mish-mash of high and low-resolution textures, repetative environments (and dull at that). Courtyards are still courtyards whether you put more tables, chairs or bowls of fruit in them.

For levels of design and ideas, people should pick up the artbook for Assassins Creed, that's absolutely fantastic and very interesting.

That's fair cheered me up seeing as i had heavenly sword drop through the letterbox today :p

so nothing new then, already been done :p

? Realism is a pretty broad term, its hardly been done? Im looking forward to Turismo 5 a lot more than i was Project Gotham, the first 3 were jokes! 4 is midely ok though the handling system is still pants! Weather was ok tho lol

PGR4 is an arcade game, as all PGR's have been. PGR2 is regarded as one of the very best racing games of all time, so it's hardly a 'joke'.
As for realism, it's sometime Gran Turismo has NEVER offered, GT:HD is a mile off too, so let's hope that's not a sign of things to come.
Forza2 was made as a 'realistic' game and it still never felt like it.

If you want Realism then GTR is the way to go.

PGR3 rocked big time!!

Never got around to playing the first two.

It's awesome, Ignore him, and play it. You'll see it's crap he's spurting.

Note a lot of comments on here would be different if said game was featured on 360.

The graphics are gorgeous

I would say exactly the same if it's on the 360. If he doesn't see a series of courtyards and corridors I'll eat my hat. Also, the graphics are vastly overrated and are actually average. Graphically it's nothing I'm not capable of and that's not good.

It's hardly 'crap' I'm spurting. If you know what you're looking at and know what to look for you'd see if different too.

It's all opinion, you might love it. But it's just not in the same league as God of War. Hell, it's not even in the same country.

... blasphemy! you might hate it but its CLASS! Best next gen fighting adventure out there!

i dare you to even come up with something as close! But you cant :D

No way in hell PGR2 is the best racing game of all time! Need For Speed Underground was better n thats saying something! IMO Gran Tursimo has offered the most 'realism' in a racing game! Granted GT:HD was a pile of ****, it was a demo! Few cars n a track taken from 4 with uprated textures, the thing was hopeless. 5 is completely different though, looking at some of the in game footage the thing looks mind blowing.

Having a look around, pretty much all review sites have given the game over 8.0 for visuals alone. Gameplay sometimes scoring slightly lowers.

Adding to that MY experience with the game I see great visuals, and unrelenting action all the way through the game.

I really can't see any problems, Are you sure you were playing it on an adaquate screen? resolution?

I was playing the game via a Sony bravia and I'm sure it was displaying at 1080p, And I thought it looked very tasty through out.
