I did a search for an existing thread on this but couldnt find one. If there is one I appologise and mods please delete/lock.

The following was taken from todays BBC News website:

The NHS is asking patients whether a new interactive body map should be correct in every detail - or whether the genitals should be left off.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit stupid? I mean its not exactly pornographic and it is for medical use?

More info here and you can vote (cant believe this) here

I think they need to have a more attractive woman either way.

I know the guy who is working on this screen and commented about this to him the other day!

For goodness sake. Its only a penis! I notice the woman is completely smooth (and a bit oddly shaped) in both. Its discrimination I tell you.

yeah, because people never get problems with those areas, so we don't need to know about them.

Why do they look like they're slouching?

Just show the full, anatomically correct body, this is meant to be for medical purposes, it's not like it's hard porn or anything.

So they want to hide the penis, but leave the breasts in full view? Are they not pretty much on par in tabooness?

Well my post disappeared, so I'll rephrase: The NHS can't be seen to do something to make people uncomfortable. Be that to do with age, religion, culture or prude-ness.
