Idiotic Carsharer.

personally id just abandon the car sharing scheme

unless you work next to him it doesnt matter you didnt get on. just tell your other workmates what a pillock he is

as for not saving money, it wouldnt be worth it for me to go to work with that pillock. Id rather pay extra and drive on me own.

My thoughts exactly. I couldn't care less about saving money if it meant I had to spend half my time with that tool.

We use out own cars. He has an old Volvo S40, so we take it in turns at driving. It does save me a lot a month (about £150) which is quite a lot to me as i'm an undergrad on a crap wage. Where as he earns 37k somehow.

He works in the office opposite me so only see him when travelling. We don't have to carshare no, but incentives from a points system as well as saving fuel are ok (equate to about £1 a day).

I work in Sherwood Park in Notts Kol.

I've just let him know what he did this morning was daft and I want him to be more careful. He said 'sorry he didn't realise'

They never realise.

(that's people who drive a car that isn't theirs in general, not indians...though this doesn't help given the conditions of cars of people I know...)

OK, I read it I thought this indian guy was driving your car, although it doesn't actually say that, you could read it like that :)

Anyway, this still sounds like a pile o' crap.

Carsharing could work I suppose, if you were already friends, etc, or you can find someone you don't mind sharing with, but this guy is a tool. Get a decent carsharer.

:(Tell him to get lost! Not worth it in my opinion. There is nothing worse than sharing any sort of transport especially when you are going to work with a Grade A tool.

I car shared for about 7 years, though with someone who was also a mate outside work and it was fine, apart from the hassle of having to be up and waiting for them to arrive or be at their house at the right time etc. and it was especially awkward if you needed to work late. After he left I just drove myself, lots of miles on my car, bigger petrol bills but a huge sense of freedom to come and go at whatever time I wanted (working flexi-time).

If I'd had some idiot like the one in this thread as a car share, then it wouldn't have lasted a a week.

Just take him for a ride on a quiet road and make him beg you to stop.

Not that I condone dogging mind you,

£150 a month is worth not having to put up with some tool abusing your car, making you worry for your life and generally annoying you. Find someone else to carshare with or just don't bother.

I carshare with a guy at work and he's a total legend. He used to be a boot-slammer but one "what did my boot do to you!?" and he stopped. if the guy you're sharing with is a fool, tell him to take his car tomorrow and you'll take yours. a man's car is his castle, assuming his woman's taken over the house

Some men allow their "better" halves into the car too.

Met a man who had to give up his 155 for a Fiesta, because his wife was scared to drive the Alfa. Poor sod.

heh, my other half knows she's not to drive my car (that's right, dear - I know you're reading this! ;))

a lack of power steering is as good as a wheel lock in some cases!

I think you should just see how it goes for the next week or so. If he's still driving like a wang/mistreating your car, tell him you don't want to car share anymore. Tell him in a serious way and not joke about it. I mean, would you rather throw away £150 or try to change a driver's attitude and make him a safer driver and have the £150?

Also, Sic - did your hamster die?

Change of car?

What a crap "scheme". Tell your company to mind their own business of how you get to work.
...but it will look good in the shareholders end of year review/brochure, no doubt "most our employees use car shaing blah blah"

:)
