Football Fixtures 12-13th January **Spoilers**

You realise of course Scholes has been injured for the last three months, and Saha has been on and off for the last god knows how long

Nani may have decided one game earlier this season, but certainly not anything like reliable to decide a game (he often completely disappears for some games)

Oh, of course mate. Just because they are injured doesn't mean they aren't players capable of changing a tight game though.

Saha v Chelsea,

remember a Scholes rocket at Stamford Bridge

and Nani scoring to decide a game this season.

That's just a couple of examples, in games i've watched.

Saha got a penalty when the game was effectively dead and we've not played at Stamford Bridge this season unless Scholes has joined Chelsea.

I remember a Saha curler at Old toilet, passed into the net, left foot.

Scholes scored a rocket at Stamford bridge a few years ago.

The point i'm getting at is individuals who can score in the big games, your lot have them in abundance.

Saha may have "won " the game in the dying seconds with a penalty - but Tevez scored the goal in the first half which Chelsea never really looked like equaling

Saha hasnt really won a game for us in over a season - majority of the time he just walks around the pitch hardly looking interested, thats if his head is upto coming on at all

As I said about Nani may have won one game - but he isnt reliable enough to do it frequently to be called " a match winner" in my book anyway

Scholes is still good enough to play for England (automatic starter even) but he, like Giggs, also requires longer between games before you get the best out of him again - so you still need someone in his place in the alternating games. Anderson will be a match winner before long, Nani Im not so convinced about

As i said above.

Well Pennant scored against Chelsea, so did Kuyt. Therefore you also have individuals who can score in big games?

Any player can have a moment of brilliance, your argument is a bit irrelevant really: what truly great players have (and what Liverpool lack) is consistency.

Which is why I mentioned Scholes. I know full well he's been injured this season. But he's consistantly delivered in big games. The goal at Chelsea was the first that came into my head....I would name others but i'm not completely obsessed by your club, in contrast to your good selves of course ;)

Good example that.

Obviously, Pennant>Ronaldo

and Kuyt>Rooney then

I don't know, I don't really understand what you're getting at with your comments. Any player can pop up and score a goal in a big game so I don't know why you were talking about Saha and Nani just because they managed to do it once each.

I'm pretty sure you've made that goal up.

This is the goal i dreamt

That's years ago. :p Pretty sure we didn't win the league that season anyway, at least I think so. I'm confused now.

Edit: have checked and that's definitely 2002, so we won that game 3-0 but we finished below Liverpool in the league so it was a pretty irrelevant goal. :p
