far too many x's from her i think :) Not even my gf!!

It's horrendously girly, doesn't stop me doing it though. I think I save myself a couple of man points due to only ever giving them to my GF or girls I fancy when I've been single.

i generally just respond in kind. if i get three, three go back, if i get one, one goes back etc. etc.

No, I do not lower myself to such an ill mannered activity. I have noticed this appears to be practiced by the ill educated or those without enough self respect to take a stance and refuse on the grounds of pride. Those who choose to send me a "text" message, purposely littered with spelling errors, random letters and "smiley faces" often do not get a reply - that's not to say that I normally reply to a "text" message. I much prefer to respond or engage with a telephone call. It is more personal, polite and respectful. If you wish to flatter a female, telephone her or go one better and meet her in person. Show that you are willing to put effort into showing her affection. Placing the letter "x" at the end of your "text" message requires less effort than that needed to expel a fart and is as much of a social faux pas and insult.

I've always gone with none, because it's always seemed a girly thing to do, it seems everyone does it now though.

EDIT: Just lol at Scuzi. One day maybe you'll care little enough about these things to get a girlfriend.

You obviously don't "get" me. Bloody commoner.

I'm sorted in the relationship department too, thank you for your concern though.

I tried posting "You just dont get him do you?" but my firefox died when I pressed submit reply :p

:Edit PurpleDinosaur, LIGHTEN UP!

I would say the insecure one would be he who goes onto an online forum and persistently makes up tall stories. But you've never done that, have you?

I'd be interested to hear about these "tall stories". Click my sig to email me.

Lighten up, Sally. It's the internet. Getting your knickers in a twist over someone who's sense of humour you cannot comprehend is no way to conduct yourself.

This thread has gone far enough off course. I want you to email me to explain about these tall stories you speak of. I cannot think of any. If I don't receive an email I'll consider it a retraction of your statement.

I look forward to hearing from you PurpleDinosaur / Calder / Baker / Bakez / Whatever other duplicate account names you may have.

How many kiss your female friends in person as often as you send virtual kisses in a text?

It does seem bizzare in the UK that people mostly only send impersonal kisses. I really like the european system of kissing girls. Normally not strangers, but sometimes ina friendly atmosphere like a parrty when you have been formally introduced. And then, when ypu know the girl and haven't seen her in sometime 9like a day), you give a gentle huge and 3 kisses on the cheeks.
