Ah crap. Looks like us 2407-HC owners will need to buy any extra screens we want now. The new model has better colour/contrast so when next to each other they won't look identical :(

Time to scrape some pennies together :D
 
Very pleased am gonna get my new pc end of Feb with a new 24" screen and hopefully this beast is out by then !

Would be a certain irony considering the madness just before I was about to click on the 2407 order button and the ghosting issues came about on this very forum !

DELL 2408WFP has launched !!!

As Engadget reports, the new UltraSharp 2408WFP has launched at much less extravagant $748, stuffing many of the same perks offered by the 3800WFP into a 24" panel. Dell says the 2408WFP features a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 6 ms response time, 1,300:1 contrast ratio, 400cd/m² brightness, and the ability to display 102% of the NTSC color gamut. There's also a broad array of display inputs, including DisplayPort, HDMI, two DVI ports, VGA, composite, S-video, and component video.

thx keep bringing in the good news we need these screens asap frankly !

Long overdue after all the 2407 negative press.... Dell need this to rebuild customer services and show they can sell high end equiptment.... without ghosting/issues !

Id take one even if its shy of £500/will last me till total next gen screens arrive that put it to shame frankly....
 
The new 2408 looks like the monitor I'll be looking at getting, will still be able to wall mount it (my arm takes up to 24" screens ) and I'll get a better picture for my Wii than I currently have through composite on my 2001fp >.< !!
 
Yay at least he 2408 looks identical from the front as a 2407. No problem then. Will just pick up a 2408 and move the 2407 as a secondary monitor (pah, 92% gamut is crap now! :p)
 
Deceided to keep the 2407 A04, gets delivered tomorrow. Who knows it may take dell to the 4 revision of the 2408 to get it right
