So if its either of those ISPs or one of a few others you could be in trouble.

Anyone on either of them ISP's would be in trouble long before they go to play eve, perhaps even the second the signed up.

Right can anyone explain how to use Scan Probes properly for Exploration & Hidden Belt Locating?
I've trained the skills I need to use the Scanner Probe Launcher and have found a couple of confusing guides. So, say I want to look for hidden belts in Isinokka.
So I warp to Planet I or the closest planet to the centre of the sector. Drop a Multispectral Frequency Probe and in my Ship Scanner I tell it to search for Cosmic Anomaly and Cosmic Signature? Then I leave it to run, and at the end if it's found anything then I need to switch to a Gravimetric probe to locate them?
It's bloody confusing!
It's handy to consult the solar system map too, especially when your trying to pinpoint a site. Its a pain that you cant launch a probe in the radius of another without changing session, just make sure you bookmark before you do![]()
Over 3 bill ide say but i am no experthave a look at the character sell forums to look for any silimar characters. Or Possibly post on the forums with that character info to see what people will bid.
Surprised nobody has mentioned this. Eve is coming to Steam.
Is there any chat channels you guys have that I could join? I logged in last night after a years worth of resting to find myself still in my old corpand I didn't know anyone lol.
My game crashed during the tutorial and it took me about 4 days to actually get an answer on what I needed to do next because it didn't carry on properly when I re-entered the game. I'm still not even 100% sure that I finished the tutorial, or whether I've missed out on anything because of it (e.g. faction increase, etc). I've heard you get at least 1 free ship (Condor?) and other things from 10-part missions, but I have/had no clue where they were or who to speak to because the tutorial never told me!I have tried Eve once and I just couldn't get into it, I got lost during the tutorial and couldn't seem to regroup so to speak and carry on.
I loved the idea of the game, the look but i think I spoilt it for myself.
Is it realistic to start to play the game now and enjoy it?
why should ccp have a problem with any of that?...
As crap as Star Wars Galaxies is nowadays the tutorial part of the game lasts for a long time and is very explicit about what you need to do for each part. With Eve it seems you're shown how to shoot a ship and mine a roid then sent off on your merry way to get can-flipped, gate ganked, lofty-scammed or any of the multitude of high-sec empire grief tactics that CCP seem to have no problem with.
I would've assumed that there would be safe havens for newbies (e.g. <7 day characters or whatever), or maybe more info in the tutorials about player pirates, etc.
If you're less than 7 days old, what could you possibly have by your own accord that would warrant someone hi-sec ganking you?
This.people don't do it to nick your stuff they just do it to be *****.
The amount of people in the 1.0 starter systems that will warp to the training areas nick the tag and put it in there own can labbled "Tags in here, ok to grab it" and then shoot the guy that took it. while there in a AF or Cruiser or something.
The price of stuff in Eve is somewhat depressing. I realise that it's a buyers market and prices are "what the market is willing to bear" (like real life) but seeing items that are only slightly better than Tech 2 for ridiculously high prices is getting me down a bit.
I've just finished building up my Drake - all Tech 2 parts with the exception of the missile launchers (Arbalest). Figured I would see how much it would cost to upgrade my T2 Invuln Fields to Faction ones (not even Officer - those are even more insanely priced).... market rate seems to be 270m+ for a Dread Guristas Invulnerability Field (the resist difference is 37.5% vs 30% (Invuln 2) - so not huge). I can't reconcile buying something that probably costs more than my entire ship with fittings even if I did have that amount of ISK spare - which I don't.
Either I'm missing a trick and people are making vast amounts of ISK running missions, or the incumbent upper-class who have been playing the game for years are the ones setting the prices this high.
The game itself I'm enjoying, but it's similarities to real life economy are becoming a bit of a grind.
