What's the difference between the M1330 and the M1350? On the lookout for a laptop for the missus, and I'm thinking these XPS machines are the way to go.

Also, a question regarding the refurbishment: What sort of damage are you guys seeing to your laptops?

I'm worried that it'll be a lottery and they'll be well within their rights to send out a laptop with a grand canyon right through the lid, bullseying the dell logo; perhaps with 'DAVE SUX **** MICHELLE LUVS MIKE' scratched into the back.

I take it you still get a years warranty from the outlet on this still as standard?

Also i take it when you get the tag info and find out its original system config and it says Italian or German works keyboard etc it will be all set up for english Because i don't really want to have to learn to speak Italian or German to use the laptop :p

Thanks

The M1330 is 13.3", the M1530 is 15.4" and slightly heavier. The 1530 has more options for the graphics card and the display resolution, but is more expensive as a result.

Systems from the Dell Outlet will usually be in near-perfect condition I'd think; can't see that they'd get away with selling you on with any kind of damage without notifying you first.

Usually Dell Outlet machines have never even left the factory, they tend to be cancelled orders. Or machine that have been made to certain specs by a large business or corp, and then the customers have changed their minds on specs etc - this is why they are sometimes wierd specs, like no cd-drive, and small hard drives etc.

How do people manage to nab these notebooks so quick, do they have some kind of automated 'bot' that buys them, or do they just spend all their lives on dell outlet sites ?

The price i said included vat + delivery - So £565 after VAT, so around £470 ex VAT (if my maths is correct?)

yes but for that much id still want led and a 2.2, before christmas, a 2.2 and led could be had for £500 delivered or less, they had double discount £95 off and free p and p.

People use bots yes, but captcha has put a spanner in the works, although im pretty sure some have cracked the outlet one.

Machines are put on the outlet at various times, used to be in the morning, seems to be afternoon now. no set time.
