So I've had the PS3 a couple of days now...............

Here are 2 shots. This isn't playing a game, just holding the controller so it feels comfortable in the hand.I'm not using any muscles to place my fingers and thumbs in the positions they are in.

The amount of effort needed to move the left analogue stick from right to left,is pretty big compaired to the xbox one.I'm not saying its hard to do it on the PS pad, just that its more difficult to do.

jesus christ, have you tried holding the pad a little lower instead reaching for the top of the pad? LOL

The way Joebob & Nanoman have posted pictures off just feels to wrong. The pad is made to be held, the difference is the pad is made to be gripped by the Eastern world, our hands are bigger and as a result we can't.

You're demonstrating the method known as 'the claw' where your fingers on the triggers represent a claw as opposed to holding the pad and having them rest on the buttons and triggers. Obviously I don't hold the pad in as far as i-bert because it becomes unplayable, I have to claw it a little, but this is when it becomes uncomfortable. As my hands have grown the Playstation pads have gradually become more uncomfortable.

As I've mentioned before, I'll handly PS3 exclusives on the PS3 pad, but multi-format games are bought on the Xbox360 because of the controller.

Was gonna try and get a pic of my grip, but it's exactly the same as above.
It's clear that pad preference is simply down to how tightly you like to grasp the controller.

I think what we have learnt from this is, there is no right or wrong answer, everyone has differing opinions and different styles, and in this case a different way of holding a pad.

I too am one of the 'Claw' peeps, and that works for me, and I'm happy with the controller, so it's all good.

If people are holding it any other way than the "oh no look out, its THE CLAW!!1!" then i can understand why they dont like it! Using the middle of your thumbs to control the analog sticks is like writing with your left hand! No wounder people have issues with it if they are holding it like that! Try to adapt to The Claw™ youll see that the pad isnt actually that bad once youve got use to!
