IMO they are nice cars to drive, so if you're happy with it then it's all good. They last a long time anyway so over the long term it will work out at reasonable cost. Just enjoy your new car.

That's a shocking amount to pay for a Mk4, especially a TDI 130. As above, you could have had a Mk5 for that amount. Anyway, as long as you're happy I suppose...

Absolutely shocking, "Yeah I'm happy with it" - That's the same brain thought I'd be telling myself over and over whilst rocking in a corner. You may well like the look of a Black Mk4 Golf. But what you got and the price you paid is diabolical, I hope you won't make the same mistake next time.

no I didnt buy it on finance

I'm keeping it cosmetically standard, it will be getting a live remap and a few other performance and handling tweaks

Has climate control and an ipod adapter for my iPhone

Maybe I could have bought a mk5 golf or a Beemer but I dont like the mk5 shape and I dont want a Beemer.....as said I'm happy, its my car and my money and I'm loving the car.... Makes the 307 look like absolute crap!

We're only saying this in his interests, although yes it's too late. If he'd asked before buying we would have urged him not to spend that much. After all, why would someone want to pay thousands more than they need to when looking at two identical products :confused:
