URGENT - Body repair shop in Bishops Stortford/Stansted Area

I asked for it to be taken to the Honda dealer, but they don't actually have the repair garage on their grounds, it's a local company round the corner. They do work for BMW, Honda and Peugeot.

I wouldn't worry too much about the mods.

When I had an assessor come out and look at my car (220) it had different wheels, was on lowered springs and had a big exhaust.

He didn't say anything.

Damage looks nasty, best of luck with the repairs :)

But you are third party fire and theft so they wouldnt be paying out on your car anyway.

Some news, it's been wrote off :(

Going to send the insurance co my details required and they will start making me offers.

Been reading an email they sent me, the following is at the bottom:

Can I buy the car back?

It is not our policy to allow this because the Government and the Association of British Insurers have issued guidelines to all insurance companies with specific instructions on what must be done with written off cars.

Only want to buy it back to sell the parts.

Neil.

Oh crap, so sorry to hear this dude :(

Hope you want to get back into another 'teg after this, and get back on the road soon :)

Pity you cant buy it back, that damage is **** all, it'll have bent the front of the flitch a touch and that all, a slight pull and a new front panel, and it would be right as rain.

Thats rubbish, my dad's just bought back my sisters Micra after someone pranged it, for £50. It was only a 2001 car, and the damage was far worse than yours in reality, its been categorised as a Cat C write-off.

Bit of a shame, I assume you wont be getting another?

EDIT: If you're breaking it, I may be interested in some stuff. /vulture

I'm buying another, already got a quote saved on the insurance companies website.
Will try and buy it back, but to px for another car possibly.

What a shame neil, on the upside your syncro is no longer an issue!

Hope you can buy it back, can't see why this would be an problem.
No more syncro issues, but buying another car without 'knowing' it could/will mean a few bills are expected.

Neil.
