What sort of Mileage is it worthwhile getting a Diesel?

I've done 45k in my diesel over 4 years.

However that was around 15k a year for the first two and 8k per year for the last two. To buy a diesel - you really need to looking at well over 10k for it to be worth it (the fuel savings paying for the higher initial price within a reasonable time)... these days though, now that the car is paid off etc, even just doing 8k is worth it.
 
I think it should be kept so that West can look back at it next year when the Focus has lost a fortune, and he's hugely unhappy with it.

£3k Focus would do the same job. I hope you get some financial sense soon dude :(

Wednesday... had a call yesterday saying that its on a transporter at the yard lol..

Guy seems to think that it will be there Wednesday morning, but to make himself look good i'm sure it will be here Monday/Tuesday as its bound to be on its way over the weekend.. once it arrives, and its been serviced i'll be free to pick it up.

I test drove the same model, but not the one i'm having.. the only one with the colour I wanted they had to get from Ford Direct, and hadn't been through the re-conditioning plant.. i've only put a deposit on it, i havn't bought it just yet, i'm not that stupid believe it or not..

Yeh.. but obviously the car will be checked by myself and a freind who knows what he's looking and if i'm not satisfied I get the deposit back... and I walk away.. I have 30 days to make that descision..
 
so why not just walk away now and get a better/cheaper car?
i hear you can get a golf mk4 at the bargain price of just £8,5k!
 
Usually if a dealer has gone to all the effort to bring the car to the dealership form another you need a really really good reason to reject the car, putting a deposit down on a car you've never seen is a stupid idea and i've actually walked out of dealerships because of this.

And if there is a problem, either I or my freind will find it... I dont see the problem personally.
