Weight saving mod to show off exhausts

It's an aftermarket, semi-removable towbar.

It's for those who want/need a towbar to actually tow stuff, but don't want to advertise it the other 363 days of the year.

just bought a genuine ford st200 bumper in primer (used, but reconditioned) for £65 :D Shouldnt cost TOO much for spraying either, my bodyshop only charged £200 to do both side skirts, both front wings and my bonnet, including quite heavy repairs to my skirts after an encounter with a steep mechanics ramp :x

good thing about it being a real st200 bumper rather than st24 is that it has twin exits properly moulded into it, with tunnels, not just holes :D Hoping to receive it by friday, and im phoning the body shop i use once i know when it'll be here to get it booked in asap.

:D

Sounds like a reasonable bodyshop. Who are they? I could do with the front end blowing over and a rust bubble on the roof seeing to. Might get myself a Mugen splitter to go on there too.

well, 4 bolts and a lot of brute force later and the rest of the tow bar is now in my neighbours skip :p

also took the chance to properly get at the back boxes which i cant normally access very easily, nor my tips properly!

I ran out of time before i could work on getting rid of the small scratches but tbh it's hidden anyway!

Any better? :p

Tom.

EDIT: oh yea, my ST200 bumper is here but still in it's packaging, it's going into powerflow to have the exhaust reshaped to fit the new bumper (old bumper had the holes in slightly the wrong places) and then fitted on Monday morning, going on holiday and need the car so it'll have to stay white!

This is how mondeos roll

Hey Tom, what body shop did you use?. I'm after some work doing on my Focus to sort the bottom of my door out.

How fast have you been going dude?? ;)

I thought it was semi-well known that Ford didn't test the Mondeo at high speeds. The lower engine spec (all but the V6) top out at Xmph, whereas the V6 goes faster. Ford didn't test the V6 mondy above Xmph, and it's since been discovered that the air resistance at the higher speeds that only the V6 can reach weakens the bumper, and it'll eventually tear off.

Count how many V6 mondeos you see with gaffer taped, or hanging off/wonky rear bumpers - it's quite funny!
