BMW Z4 thread

M3 CSL wheels, if you don't have a Z4 M then the rears won't fit, the offset is completely wrong. You can fit 4 front wheels but you lose that nice dish on the rear.

EDIT: damn you fox!
 
They are M3 CSL wheels, they only fit on the rear of the Z4M becuase the offset is wrong on the non-M. You can fit 4 fronts, but it doesn't look quite right on the back.

This is the second time in as many days that someone has posted that without an explanation as to why.

I bet they could fit...

Fox has a good point. If you have £20k to spend on a Z4, save up for another wee while and pick up an Alpina S Roadster for £22-23k. This is more likely to hold it's value and is supposed to be a good improvement over the 3.0i although I cannot comment as I haven't driven one. If £20k is your max, save yourself a few quid.

Unfortunatley Alpinas do not hold their value as much as Sytners would want you to believe!

They would fit, but they look ridiculous and poke out well beyond the arches. Maybe if you ever buy a Z4 though, you can buy 2 sets of M3 CSL wheels, put the 4 rears on your car (with rubber band tyres :D ) and sell the fronts to me.

How far? What's the width and offset of the 3.0 rears and the same of the CSLs?

I was looking for a great pic of M3 wheels on a 3 series E46 to give you an idea of how different the offset is, but I can't find it. It's quite substantial so I'll keep looking.

wow - that's good, what about a 3.0 coupe ? Hadn't really considered the coupe but that could be another option..

To answer someone before I did think seriously about a 350z / Audi tt QS / S2000 / Z4 before I got the scoob. Z4 is fave at the moment..
