Yappy dogs are just untrained owners.

Yappy dogs are just untrained owners.![]()
Just to make it clear, I don't want a yappy snappy dog. There will be a little boy around the dog, we don't want him bitten![]()

What?
Not only does that not make sense in the general not making sense way, but even if it was written in a clear way it wouldn't make any sense.

£1000 for a dog. Jeez. Does it come with a years supply of pet food?

Course it makes sense, the majority of problems with dogs are due to poor owners, ie untrained. When you watch these dog programs (Dog Borstal, Dog Whisperer) they are 9 times out of 10 training the owner to be a better handler. So "Yappy dogs are just untrained owners." makes perfect sense.![]()
How small is a miniature Schnauzer? Are they small enough? If so they look really cool. Love the 'tache
It really doesn't.
Certain breeds (pomeranian, miniature poodle, jack russell, etc.) are yappy no matter what the owner does. It is in their nature.
Really?
Wonder if they've always been unlucky. Mine is headstrong but intelligent. He knows exactly what you want him to do, its getting him to do it that's the problemMost Boxer training clubs/sites/breeders I've spoken to say the same.

Some breeds are more likely to be yappy but it's not a certainty.
The owner and the training can make all the difference.
There s a gene in dogs which means they either bark while running (they can't run without barking) or can't bark while running/might also be don't need to*.
So at times it can be solely down to the dog not the owner.
*Going on an example from A level bio.

Any ideas of what breeds this happens in?
I always assumed that when people say they don't like yappy dogs, they're referring to ones that yap when they see another dog/cat/person/car etc.
When we've been walking our dogs we've met other chihuahuas that go mad with barking and snarling.
Their owners immediately pick them up, cuddle them and give it the old "oooh you poor ickle thing".
The dog thinks "I go mad at other dogs and get cuddles, result!!"
While all this has been going on, our two just look at the other dog and think "bothered"![]()
I think due to the nature of it being a gene(sry that sounds weird but I'm bad at explaining things) in dogs is can be any dog from any breed, but of course some highly specialised ones will now only contain dogs with it on or off, and it is a rare gene anyway, as when dogs where wild it was strongly selected against as they could not really hunt well without warning everything where they were.
werd.

Aren't boxers always quite dopey though, in the same way old professors in films are, clearly smart but occasionally forget their still in their pyjamas kind of way?

Are you completely mad!?
There called "toy" breeds for a reason.
Just about ever Boxer dog I've ever met has been a few sandwiches short of a picnic
