2008 Malaysian GP - Race 2/18

I am surprised that it took till the last couple of races for Hamilton to show his lack of experience. It does show he has quite an old head on young shoulders, but shows that no matter how talented/mature you are, there is no substitute for experience.

Poor communication form the pitlane and a technical problem.... nothing to do with experience!

Why do so many people hate Hamilton so much?

Too much tall poppy syndrome TBH

Because British are the only nationality of people who will will somone to LOOSE!

I can remember speaking to so many people saying "oh, I hope he doesnt win in his first year, it will be much better for him..." WHAT THE HELL!!!

I dont know of any other nation on earth with the same mentality!

Interested in owning an F1 team? Now's your chance - Torro Rosso have been put up for sale

As the story notes customer cars are out for 2010 which means that STR need to build their own car (and have all the infrastructure that entails) rather than simply running a Red Bull chassis.

So thats the end of Super Aguri and Torro Rosso, and we will see teams like JordanMidlandSpykerIndia firmly planted at the back as they cant afford to develop a decent car.... how long untill we see less than 18 F1 cars on the grid, and the manufacturers plans the GPWC thingy again....

want to see kimi out in front to see how the other cars can keep pace with him, whether its easy or not
hamilton kept his pace within himself as he claims but i wonder what he'll be like when he's chasing it :)

Exactly - we haven't seen what Hamilton is like yet with no TC when he isn't leading the race by a large margin. There were a few moments last year where he got a bit hot headed (e.g. Brazil) but something tells me that was just nerves and not a lack of skill.

If this weekend turns out to be rain rain rain then it will be interesting but I reckon Hamilton will deliver again. Maybe not first (as rain always makes the race result unpredictable) but I don't think he will struggle too much TBH. Whereas I fully expect the 2 Ferrari drivers to be having regular off's, especially Massa. Massa will probably crash out actually.

I forgot. We're supposed to suck Hamilton off at every possible opportunity aren't we?

*n
Eh?

I'll be interested to see how Jenson fairs on Sunday, if it does tip down. He's usually solid in the wet, and Brundle is always prattling on about him being 'smooth on the power'. Sunday might be a productive day for him.

Sigh, on the one hand the FIA say costs need to be cut, on the other they price teams out the sport...

Morons tbh.

That's about right. Sad really. :( I bet Crazy Dave and Webber will be casting a sly eye at the situations vacant board for next year. Young Mr. Vettel will be wanting one of those seats now.

Bah, working Sunday and no TV in work so will have to tape it and avoid any spoilery Internet sites. That means you, Motors.

Unlucky. Looks like a day of avoiding the internet then, friend. I couldn't think of any worse situation, not watching a race live. Hasn't happened in years, problem though... I go away on Sunday. I'm still getting up early to watch the race. The gf isn't too happy about it and as a result not staying round that night! :O

yeah, but you can bet any money you like that at the exact moment you turn your TV on to watch it it will be the sports news and the presenter will say "Driver X beat Driver Y in a spectacular GP in Malysia, and Driver Z crashed out on the penultimate lap"....

Its happened to me once before....

I was working nights once during the Oz GP and avoiding hearing anything about it. Then I got a phone call and guess what TV channel was on in the background? "And Fisichella wins in Australia!" Grr.

thats a fairly unlucky way to find out! I noticed they tend not to give warnings on the news like they do for football...

Anyway, back on topic, where can I get decent weather forecasts for the race weekend?

Can't wait for this race, after the Chaos that was the Australian GP I'm hoping for more of the same :p

Bring it on.

Got one of my mates staying here on Saturday night after footy, am slowly converting her to an F1 addict. Shes getting up with me to watch the race live, and then we are going to Cheddar to watch the banger car racing.
:D
