2008 Malaysian GP - Race 2/18

Why is it that Hamilton is so slow behind webber yet when webber made his 1st pit stop and Ham passed he wasnt far of Ferrari pace.

Ha! I remember last year I was in Barcelona watching the race on Spanish tv, the only word I could make out was "Alonso" every now and again.

Yep as I thought Rosberg only just pitted 5 laps ago so no doubt was running on a virtually empty tank to hit that pace...

Hamilton is only 0.7s behind Webber so his pace will be determined by that of Webber. He can't pass because he's too close to get decent aero grip onto the straights so he can't get close enough to outbrake Webber into the next corner.
 
Hamilton is 12 seconds from 4th - no chance* of a podium tbh in 20 laps...

*In normal condtions :p - Wheres the rain!!!

And for some bizarre reason, you all seem okay with that.

Why?

How is this remotely acceptable in the supposed pinnacle of motorsport? I'm sorry, but any rulebook that produces this state of affairs needs a serious look at.

Took them a while to notice tbh ;)

Hoping Hamilton can still get something decent out of this.

Alright, so you aren't happy with it. But plenty of others seem to be. Memphis certainly is. Hell, how many people said "great race" on here last weekend despite none of the front runners overtaking each other?
