My new car

I don't think the Corsa is a bad looking car as far as super minis go. Its not what i would have chosen but my first car is a slow boring family hatch so what do i know ;).

C'mon guys this is turning into a school playground. If you can't accept that people don't like the car, ask for the thread to be closed and dont bother asking for opinions. This is a motoring forum and people like to get the best car they can for their money.
 
Cant be bothered reading the rest of the posts... but the mirrors are standard SRi mirrors :|

Oh and also, defo the better out of similar cars in its class... really do not like the clio, fiesta, etc etc :)

Car looks nice new and fresh... got a good wee shape to it, nice front and the SRi wheels suit corsas spot on!

Nippy wee thing for a 1.4 too... enjoy it :D

thanks guys i think this is one of the funiest threads ive seen in a while all thees comparisons of V6 mondeos to corsas etc etc, i think many of you get carried away into thinking this is a ford owners club

Of course I would. If a friend said 'I've just bought this Corsa!' I'd say 'nice mate, cool' as I have done many times in the past. Why? Well its simple. In real life, your mates are not a motoring forum. They are not there to discuss the merits of cars. They will casually mention, in passing, they've got a new car. So it's pointless saying 'Well its a bit crap really isnt it?'. Infact a mate at Uni had a Mk4 Golf 1.9 TDI 105bhp. He thought it was totally awesome and, in his words 'Really quick'. Apparently, it properly shifted. Did I take the mick? No, not really. I wasn't his mate for his car knowledge, we didn't usually discuss cars anyway and he wasn't really a car person. So whats the point? He's happy with his car and there is far more to talk about over a pint.

However, this is not a casual encounter with a mate. This is a forum about cars, where we discuss cars and where we have opinions on cars. Thats all its for - thats what happens here. So when someone says 'What do you think of my car' then people will, somewhat unsuprisingly, say exactly what they think of their car. Thats the whole point.

If thats not what you want then why post? Why ask?

Driving your BMW (the car of your choice) is all good, but is his 04-reg corsa any worse than your old Xantia? I think not!

My Xantia was my first car and cost just £1000. Which wasn't bad for a car which, at the time, was just over 7 years old, had electric windows all round, etc etc and a half decent (for the time) engine. It was a cheap car. It was, in my opinion, as good if not better than most other £1k nails in the local paper.

This Corsa is not a £1k nail. It is not a cheap car. Therefore comparisons with a £1k Xantia I owned years ago are not really relevant. Given you registered 2.5 years after I moved on from the Xantia I'd not expect you to know much if anything about it.

Stupid MOFO's refused to refund the bet OR give me the winnings :(
