Don't feel bad for anyone slating it. I spent £1700 on a 1L Corsa Envoy at 18. I've learned it was probably wrong, but insurance in my post code is high so

That's pretty cheap, does it have leather seats/climate control?

Personally, i don't like the SRI mirrors either, but the SRI alloys are very nice (almost as nice as the exclusiv alloys)

Yup, I just love the attitude of some people when threads like this pop up. People going on about BMWs and Fords and how everyone would have told him to get one of those, when they are entirely wrong.

As for the car...meh...it's a corsa, I wouldn't have one.

The smart thing would have been to spend the money on either a 205 or 309 Gti. Pick up a minter for 1k. Faster then the corsa, a lot better around the corners and ten times more fun to drive. Pocket the 3k change plus whatever you saved on insurance then when you hit 20 with 3 years no claims on your belt. The world is your oyster.
