How many times have you been stoped by the cops?

I've just been pulled over the once. 3 figures, apparently cutting him up when joining a dual carridgeway.
Basically told me to SLOW DOWN and that if I passed a breath test I would be on my way with nothing more said.
I didnt give him any crap, he was fair with me... and overall I was dam lucky.

quite a little event today, got stoped at one of them vehicle checker things they do,i was in a queue or 2 more waiting for them, after 15 mins they came over and said its doesnt matter u can go. as i get back on the main road i pass a police car that must be a spotter for the checkers, hes fast asleep :/ .
15 seconds down the road queued at traffic lights some guy blasts past on a bike and cuts accross the other lane down a street ( very close to hitting a car head on), followed a few seconds later by a police car.
a few seconds later the cop comes out a few streets down and heads back up to the checking point. looks like the biker got away.
when i get to the lights at the cross roads, one of the police comes screaming up to it with lights and siren on, gets through the road, imidiately turns off lights and pulls up outside a pie shop.

Every weekend when I worked at a nightclub in Cardiff. Sometimes more than once.
The first dozen or so times I was courteous, but it does soon get on your nerves, especially when they use excuses like "you were weaving all over the road" (on a residential street where cars are parked either side) or "Your brake light isn't working" when it clearly was and attempts at getting them to tell me which one ended in failure and a breath test.
Three times..
1) i "ran" a red light (i didnt, i sat there for 5 minutes at stupid o-clock in the morning waiting for it to change then got impatient)
2) not displaying a number plate - total noobness on my part - took my mini which had a new front end on to get some petrol from a few hundred meters down the road, left the number plate in the garage by accident. £30 fine - most expensive tank of fuel i've ever bought.
3) routine nighttime check for drunk drivers in Rochdale town centre stop - almost got me for not displaying tax but realistically couldnt as it was a day after my previous tax had expired and they checked that i had an online application from the previous day.

the bar manager drove an r32 golf and got pulled over 59 times in this 'CRACKDOWN'
so 36 was when i took a 'short cut' down a county lane, parked up in a lay by to take a call on my phone and i got a breath test and a telling off even though i wasnt actually breaking the law
and 37 was last week - driving to paris to visit my dad in hospital, never friven in europe before - my tomtom decided to send me on the wrong road and i pulled some A+ crap driving out of the bag
the gendemerie [french police] [who look like thunderbirds in SWAT armour] tried to converse with me and my B grade GCSE french. the conversation followed roughly...

police "are you from britain, can i see your papers?"
me "oui!"
police "you have a french car..."
me "oui, C'est Bon!"
tells me to get on my way and drive safely!!!

from 17-21 at least 2-300 times,
my record was 25 producers and VREC1's in 7 days albeit most for the excessive noise from my straight thru exhaust.
just took em into work got our mot tester to sign and stamp them great fun dumping a pile of em on the desk jockey at the local nick currently have a clean liscence but have been banned twice (once for 14 days second a tad longer (totting up procedure) i were a bit of a reckless hooligan in my younger days

So over 3 a day ,if you show them a producer they don't normally give you a second or third one what were you doing with them eating them !

I've been stopped 3 times
Once in my old Fiesta RS Turbo, on Christmas Eve. He just wanted to check I owned it and make my life difficult I reckon as there was no charges or any reason to pull me over but I was still given a producer and asked to bring my documents to the police station... which I did and was told all was in order
Total waste of time!
Second time I got pulled over for driving past the police station whilst making too much noise. To be fair it was my own fault because I wasn't thinking and I did put my foot down a bit, the Pulsar was a bloody loud car at full chat. They caught me up down the road and pulled me over. I'd had a drink so I had to do a breath test (passed with green on the meter) and they checked things over like the exhaust. To be honest they were really nice guys though and were really interested in the car once they realised me and my mate weren't chavs out for a joyride. I didn't get anything for that either so that was good.
Third time I got pulled over in my Pulsar by an unmarked police car joining the M5 in the rain. I'd been held up for ages on the way home and the sliproad opened to empty lanes so I accelerated up to 90mph and realised it wasn't my best decision as a black unmarked Mondeo appeared from nowhere and pulled me over. Once again they were really nice blokes and after asking me where I got the tax for my car (presumably to check I owned it) they too let me go without any charge after a chat. I think they would have chatted for hours but my GF was starting to look irritated so they let me on my way.
All in all I don't really have anything bad to say about the police in these matters. Half the time they stop you to check you didn't nick the car which while irritating is fair enough and when they do pull you over if you chat to them with respect you never have any problems
Incidentally I've never been pulled over in my Saab, 306 or original Fiesta. They are just invisable to the police.

Never, not a single time. even when I owned relative chav mobiles a knackered old Punto and a reasonably sporty looking Corsa. Now I've got a Volvo they just assume I'm over 70 anyway

2. Stopped for 'aggressive' roundabout driving. Let off with warning.
3. Stopped, for speeding. Let off with warning.
4. Stopped, for speeding. Let off with warning. (same officer from no.3 though!)
EDIT: I suppose also:
5. Flashed, 36mph in a 30mph zone. Given opportunity to go to driver awareness course. Went along, good experience (£60 fee though).
Number 5 actually happened in between 1 and 2.
