Have you ever not wanted to buy a console because of the people that created.

How can anyone that calls them selves a gamer dis Nintendo a real gamer should worship them. Maybe The Wii is not for everyone but I think if those talks between Nintendo and Sony had never happened all them many years ago for plans on a CD addon for the Snes. Sonys Playstation brand would never had come into existence. In a way you could say Nintendo Created the idea of Playstation for Sony. Seems even from day one Sony used other companies ideas. lol

We owe a great amount af Gratitude to Atari, Sega and Nintendo. For making the foundation of the gaming culture. Atari started it all. Nintendo brought it back to life and Sega for bringing great Arcade ports to the home.

and how many consoles sold
you just prove the point i was making
and saying 1 game sold better than that other rubbish is not going to win the day

good god. 12 million consoles sold. mario galaxy has already sold to half the entire user base - thats pretty damn good penetration for a game that doesnt appeal to everyone isnt it? (i didnt buy it), and mario kart is selling faster still.

what im saying isnt rubbish, its fact. i cant be bother to teach you basic math and spoon feed you figures. do some research. if a publisher wants to make money on a decent game, you can be damn sure a decent game is going to make money on the wii.

I quite liked the PS2 design. I think it appealed to me as i had it vertically, and it had a pretty blue light on it :p

The blue light was amazing, that's for sure. I loved it.
I just couldn't stand the offset top to stand (same with PS3) and I wasn't a fan of the finned front. The slim model was nice though because it was petit.

It doesn't stop me buying a console, but it all adds up.

The Lik Sang thing took a while for me to calm down from. Then there was the Kotaku incident.

MS have really lost some of my trust with their hardware.

With Nintendo I feel I have no respect for them. I think it's because they don't give the "gamer" what they want and care more about the money.

Eventually one of the 3 will make a big **** up and yes that will end my purchases with them.

I was a Playstation lover since I got the PS1 when it first arrived over 10 years ago.

I was incredibly hyped for the PS3 and followed every bit of news that would drip out each day following its announcement at E3 2005.

...then it started. Sony without any remorse totally spat on Europe, and as much as I tried to spin the bad news around it eventually got too much and I said no more. I think it was when they sneakily let out that the PAL PS3 would have worse backwards compatibility than everywhere else in the world. That coupled with the higher price, delayed release date and other constant ******* about Europe... what they did upto the European release date was shockingly terrible, not only from a fans POV but from the industry and business world in general.

So, no, I haven't got a PS3, and from just before the EU release of the PS3 I have purposefully refused to even entertain the thought of buying any Sony products.

Microsoft as a company get a lot of stick for many things, but their game department actual do try, and to me thats all that matters. Sony on the other hand seem to go out of their way to **** Europe off.

Yep. I spent almost a year humming and harring about buying an Xbox 360 due to knowing its designed by a company thats bad for making buggy things. I gave up and bought one after a while, but I rarely use it.

sorry last time i seen figures they had sold about 20 million wii
and that was a while back
if they have only sold 12 million wii then i am wrong

No. I couldn't careless who made the console. At the end of the day it's the quality of the games that are released on the console that determines whether I buy one or not.

No this isn't about running a console down I mean have you ever didn't want to buy a console because you didn't like a companies business ethics or because they promise so much and deliver so little.

I think I've done myself out of many good gaming experiences in the past because of being that way. I at to really push myself to get a NextGen console this gen Has Sega no longer make consoles and my Nintendo Wii so far has disappointed me. In my younger years I was going to only ever buy Sega consoles. :)

Yeah I caved in time and bought the 360. What I found though even though I don't like how Microsoft squeeze has much money out of you has they can. It does delver the goods it promises. I still don't think I could push myself to buy a PS3 I just can't stand Sony.

I think somewhere deep down I blame Sony for Segas down fall so despise them for it. I am glad I bought the 360 in the end has I'm having a lot of fun with the it.

Simple answer is no. Marketing works for me. That's why I would still buy brand name training shoes because I believe they have spend millions adding a bubble into the heel of them so they must be "worth" 70 quid.

have you ever wanted to cut off your nose to spite your face?

Anyone?

End of tbh. I'd buy a console from satan after he got out of bed with my mum, stepping over my dads cold, grey corpse as he does so, if it was a good console.

You quickly forget £59.99 for SF2 turbo, and Nintendos complete disregard for the european market when they had the lions share of the console sector, combine that with the fact that had they not been such greedy little boys and wanting to hang on to every little penny there would never of been a PS1.
In displaying all the bad things people are accusing Microsoft and Sony of, nintendo shot themselves in the foot, and dumped themselves out of the home console market for 13 years.

And yet they still always turned a profit. They're just better at business.

13 years  did the GC and n64 never happen? anyway, mega drive games were just as expensive. the outrageously priced Zoop, anyone remember that? that was going for near £70. or virtua racer. actually how much was SFII on the mega drive when it was released? i seem to remember that being very expensive as well.

is there a resource for consoel game release prices?
