Noticed something cool and that is if you get out of a car with the radio playing and the door is still open you can hear the radio when your outside of the car.

Thats a nice touch I think. :)
 
Hmm, I may as well have not bothered at this rate, game arrived, went to gym, got back from gym, realised no food for tea in house, off we go again....
 
Just popped into a few shops near the pet shop I had to go to and they had all sold out of 360 versions but all had ps3 versions left, despite getting more of the former in. The local blockbuster opened at midnight and had around 100 people queuing, but out of that they only sold 'one or two' ps3 copies.

So in my experience you should easily find a ps3 copy, but you might have to shop around a little for a 360 one.

I didn't say the graphics are 'bad', I said I don't like them.

The visual presentation is very very nice, the shadows, smoke, animations, detail is absolutely exceptional.

But I don't like the fuzzyness of it all.

I've played every GTA game on every format and this is by far the best, but I just think they've notched up the 'artistic' style a bit too much.

Went into a music store and all out of 360 ones but had loads of PS3 ones. Went into a Game shop and they had loads on the shelf, so I picked one up and started to walk to the till and the assistant asked if I had pre-ordered, when I said no he said I can't have it then! WTF, if they are only to be sold to pre-ordered people then don't have them on the shelf!

Luckily my girlfriend got me a copy from a another place, but now I have to wait till 6 to play it and then I have to go out at 6:30 :(

If you've had a chopper yet try flying it when the sun is setting and your going over a bridge... you can see the whole city for miles!

the sun looks amazing, seeing the cars on bridges looks amazing and the fuziness/haze just adds to the effect of realism i feel. Oh... and the sea waves!!! moving and sparkling!

I just cant get over the detail... i love it!

I'm in suspense as to whether I'll have it when I get home... Got the dispatch email yesterday at 09:28, but with a sent time of 17:28.. think my email might have been broken and it may have been dispatched friday (I hope)

Just looked online at the store in questions stock levels.

Every store in a 100 mile radius of my postcode is out of stock. :eek:

Been into town on the bike, went round every store I could think of including a load at the local retail park as well as town centre shops and all the same, all out of stock....lol.

Ah well, gave me an excuse to go and give the bike a run.

Looks like I wont be getting this till tomorrow at the very least.

Should have pre-ordered...lol. :p
 
YAY \o/ mission completed, Bioshock is gonna have to come out the 360 tonight ;)

FYI I reserved mine online from Cannock Orbital store, don't think they have sold many cos the girl said "I didn't know we were selling this yet"
 
Picked up my copy today after searching in several supermarkets which had all sold out. I'm impressed so far, love the presentation, controls and all the small touches. Graphically it looks a bit nicer when played through VGA rather than component for me. It seemed to remove some of the jaggyness. This is on a sony bravia 32". Sadly I've gotta get on with uni work now :(
 
Well I just spent about three hours playing it and I really love it, but I do hate the horrid and fuzzy graphics. It really does look like a flat, blurry mess in places (screenshots were obviously total lies) and the framerate is utterly dire too when you have police chasing you etc. :( Playing on a 32" Samsung LCD over HDMI.

I expect a flood of "runs/looks fine, probably your 360" replies. Don't bother, I will ignore them.

Like I said, I love the game, I've done quite a few missions now and I feel like I'm getting into the thick of the story. :D Not going to go into details as there might be spoilers, will be back on it after Star Trek. ;)
