Age of Conan: Pre-order Crew

Yea, i've got doubts about this game over taking wow. Being in closed beta at higher levels i'm not 100% sure of it atm...

Come WOTLK i think i'll be back playing wow.

Yeah, I expect I'll be doing the same.

My characters on the OcUK server are getting towards 60 and should be nearer 70 soon, but I don't want to spend ages grinding for Epic's that will be out dated once WOTLK is released, i'd rather play something else in the meantime and come back to it later.

I never really saw it taking over WoW - one of the major positive points of WoW was it's low system requirements which meant just about anyone can play it. With the higher specs of AoC, there are a lot of people who can't play it, or above low-medium.

I would prefer if it didnt overtake WoW to be honest. The idiots in that game seem to far out number the normal folk & as this game looks promising I wouldnt want it ruined by them all moving over.

It won't touch WoW tbh, unless its amazing...

Can anyone explain to me how this pre-order 3 day early access is gonna work? Cause I can't see how. Are they:

1) Gonna send out the disc to customers 3 days early?
2) The suppliers are going to send us an e-mail with a link to download the preorder client.
3) The suppliers send all of our details to Funcom and they send us an e-mail with the link to the client.

I think 2 is a bit unfeasible as Funcom cannot really expect suppliers to have there e-mails systems set up like this. So it is either 1 or 3.

Can anyone enlighten me further? Cause I have not heard a thing from the famous Jersey supplier who I ordered from.

I think it will be more like 2, your supplier send out a mail to you with a early access key and a link to a Funcom server where you have to first pay £5 ish for the bandwith to download the client.

They will e-mail us aye?

Fair enough - will wait and see.

The £5 marlarky I don't like the sound of. After downloading all 15gig of the beta client for 15 hours I don't think I want to do that again, never mind paying for the privilege as well.

Might just wait three days until the disc arrives. will wait and see.
