Can anyone find any footage of Terry taking the penalty yet? Everyone keeps saying he slipped, but it looked to me as though he'd already struck the ball, and THEN he slipped (pretty much in the same instant, granted, but an important point, IMO).

For those also saying United were lucky that he slipped (not necessarily on here, but in some of the newspapers); if that's the case, wasn't Lampard lucky that Van der Sar slipped at the crucial time, effectively giving him an open goal to aim for?

In essence, United won this fair and square, as it was quite evenly matched, with them dominating the first half, Chelsea dominating the second and extra time shared with pretty much equal possession.

Although it was decided on penalties, it has to be said that Anelka did everything right with his shot, as it was going straight in, had Van der Sar not made an excellent save. It wasn't like he had ballooned it over the bar, or something similar.

i watched his standing leg, he didnt slip, he just missed and then fell on the floor. like he wanted to slide on his back waving his hands in the air as though he had just won the champs league with Chelsea.

great clip.

My thoughts too, he did not slip at all from the gif.
