Finished School

Basically finished 2 weeks ago..only had an hour a day :s.

Only gotta hand some stuff in and im completely finished in 6th Form.

Going from year 11 to 6th form is nothing, you dont really do much..just less lessons, more time to sleep etc.

Hasnt really sunk in th fact that in 2 weeks time, ill be waking up not having school ever, ever again .

I was quite sad at the fact that I was leaving year 11, however, when I got to year 12 (just finished it), it was so much better than previous years. I don't miss it at all.

2 years at 6th form were sadly a waste of time for me. I failed but oh well. Then a year out. Now at college for 2 years.

I should have done college instead of 6th form. Because now I have gotten to the age when I just cba any more. But I keep pushing on because I want to go to uni.

Someone said are GCSEs important. Depends on how you look at it. A employer may pick someone else over you if they have better grades but as for getting into college or uni... they don't really mean much.

I disagree. People who aren't anything academic shouldn't need to bother taking them in the first place.

GCSE's are compulsory so the two years spent failing, could be spent on an apprenticeship or something beneficial, they also affect others by stopping people learning because they don't want to.

Just finished Upper 6th - which I believe would be called Year 13 - today. I understand what the OP means by mixed emotions. 'Just' got to go back and do my remaining A-Level exams now.

I don't know if it's actually sunk in yet though.

I think 6th form holds people back from maturing. Ok so most of us still have a lot to do, including me probably. But I think going to a college, if you have the chance, helps a lot.

School and college aren't anything special when you look back at it. Uni will probably feel the same in 10 years but it's a lot more effort, and life changing.

If I can get out of uni with a 2.1 or a 1st, it'll probably be the greatest sense of achievement I've ever felt.

Just finished my 2nd year at uni, only about 6 months of term-time left now. October > June

I can't believe how fast my sixth form years went. Almost finished my first year at university now, just 1 more exam left!

Wow, nice one. You got the biggest exam e-penis by far.

I'm sure he'd rather have as few exams as you.

Bio, Chem and Physics at A level isn't exactly a piece of cake, he's got as much right to post his number of exams as you.

What are you studying out of interest? Don't tell me GCSEs, I'll probably cry.

I WANT PITY THOUGH DAMMNIT!

And mp3kla is right, I have just as much right to post about my exams as you do about yours.

I didn't even mention the fact that you're only sitting GCSEs, which require no more effort than actually going to the exams.

Being a GCSE student, I'd normally be expected to disagree; but this years crop of exams at least has been easy as muck, it's a tad silly actually.
