Saints Row 2 makes fun of GTA4.

ok read some previews, Johnny, Julius and Troy all return and you do play your original character who survived with serious plastic surgery.
 
Sorry but you should expect spoilers for saints row 1 in a thread about saints row 2. I saw lots of spoilers for the previous GTA's in the GTA4 thread and no-one complaining.
 
Top trailer, and hit the GTA IV nail bang on the head. :D Rockstar should pay attention to the points being made.

I've just started the original Saints Row, and have a inkling I will be buying the sequel now too.
 
I think the names are alright, but the fact he had to have plastic surgery gives me a hint as to the ending.

Did he not mean than YOUR own character has plastic surgery?

You can make your guy look like whatever you want and I assume lots of people wont have the same look as in SR1?

If it is regarding another character, sorry. I can't remember the end of the first one :)
 
No, I didn't mean it like that. I meant that the fact the character had to have plastic surgery meant that he was in an explosion or a fire or something, at the end of the game. I don't mind though, I hated Saints Row so I'm not fussed about spoilers. :p

The only spoiler in the thread is what you've just posted.

Plastic surgery isn't perative to surviving a fire or explosion, there could have been many scenarios, he might have needed a new identity to escape a gang, etc.

Bought GTA4 but feel like I wasted £45 :(.

One thing that I didn't like about SR, was the storyline. It was a joke imo.

I don't even know what the storyline is as I've never played it all the way through.
 
Video makes an excellent point, I was bored of bowling/pool/darts after trying each of them once. Wasting time meeting 'friends' to go look at in game strippers or suddenly not be able to walk properly in order to get perks also got old really fast and seemed pretty pointless.

So true.

all these 'social activitys' are boring.. once you've done it thats it. I just started to reject all the calls, forget all the girlfriends as theyre waste of time

All that part of game was useless and uneeded tbh..

I hope they learn for next GTA :D Add Tanks, add the US Army, Add Jets and Planes, they need to study SA and take a page out of its book to make another GTA classic.
