Have I missed something here? To me that game looks far from 'gash'. Anyways, surely the graphics contribute 2% of the enjoyment in a sandbox type game? The very nature of the genre is to focus more on gameplay than graphics.

I couldn't care less how bad this game looks (even though I don't think it looks THAT bad), as I will just be having fun spraying sewage on people and blowing trains up with an RPG.

I agree. The graphics in GTA SA are mediocre compared to a lot of other games - but it simply doesn't matter in a game like that. The graphics are perfectly good enough, and personally I find the unrealistic cartoon type style to be very endearing. I don't *want* ultra realism when I'm shooting a cop in the head at point blank range, or firing an RPG into a crowd of pedestrians. If it was realistic, it would be disturbing and not the escapist fun that it is now.
