Just hit the motherload

This thread is funny, how can anyone complain about someone living in a council house who pays his rent, council tax an PAYE tax...

Surely he's as deserving of it as anyone else.

Sorry, Samantha:)
So many you're getting them mixed up eh?

because they seem to think the only people who get council accomodation are people who dont or cant contribute to society

its utter tosh

OP,

How much do you pay in rent, out of interest?

£240ish a month and £90 Council Tax. :)

And i'm over paying on rent to be honest, because the place is a mess. I've spent so much time trying to fix the place up, and I always feel let down by what I've done.

They say you can't polish a turd, Well consider this turd polished! And soon to be demolished.. Poet and know it

phew! some right dobbers posting in this thread...

Good on you wannabedamned, ignore the armchair politicians/economists here; like the genuine article, they're egocentrically tuned to the sounds of their own ideas at the expense of everyone else's.

His personal reasons and circumstances are noones business and there must have been a very good reason as to why he was given a council flat. He's being forced to move from his Home into somewhere that he may not even like. Yes the house may be nicer but it isn't your home, its like someone taking away your girlfriend and replacing her with a page three model, yes she probably a lot fitter but she isn't your girlfriend. I dont see this as a handout at all, just a bit of compensation and i say he has every right to accept it, its not his choiceitis the council's choice to have move him and compensate, have a go at the council, not him. Some people are genuinely bitter and twsited and believe they are better than everyone in someway.

Mr. ooo yes i got a B and i considered that to be a failure. Some people say its harsh that a ton of bricks fell on him, i'd say it was poetic justice and nature's way of dragging him back down to earth.

So you think AcidHell should have that happen to him too?

bloody stupid if you ask me

good luck to the OP enjoy the cash

However why my hard earned cash has to be thrown away on "inconvenience" compensation is quite frankly laughable, so he is living in a dive atm, council build him a brand new abode, give him a few quid to kit it out (fair enough as well) but then chuck in £5k as a final sweetener, that boils my blood.

pathetic state of affairs when £5,000 could house a homeless person or someone equally much much more deserving.
