The Vectra-C is easily as good build quality wise as a Mk3 Mondeo, having driven loads, the Vectra-C is actually a bit more refined then the MK3 mondeo, especially on the motorway. I can't remember any journo reviews that didn't rate the Vectra's interior quality, the quality of plastics is high, people just seem to slate the hard plastic centre section where the controls are, it's designed to be like that, and oddly, looking at modern fords, they've also gone down this route..
@Phate - I really like the ZS as well, nice choice. I don't care how old the platform is it's based on, so what? , it's a hoot to drive, quite raw, quite retro, but quite capable.. not everyone's cup of tea, but certainly no where near the disaster people make out..
