Cumulative PS3 sales pass cumulative Xbox 360 sales in Europe?

I found Motorstorm was great fun, but not more than 3 races at a time otherwise it became hellishly repetitive.

The graphics are amazing, but the soundtrack (outside of the intro) was pretty poor IMO. The tracks were good, but all too similar at the same time.

I'm looking forward to the next one, hoping the improve on all the poorer elements of the first one.

Yea after long periods of time I would start to get fed up with some tracks, I think there were only about 5 or 6. But it was so immersive and hectic and the graphics and soundtrack were so good that i thoroughly enjoyed it, the second one will hopefully be amazing!

Totally off topic, and there are millions of people posting in here so someone will know, and it beats creating a new topic for this in General.

Anyways, if i was to add a line of text under my sig, to my blog site, Would it be against the rules?

I'm treading very carefully, Because I got banned last time my sig was wrong :(

Probably because of what it offered as package I would Imagine (atleast on the MP side of things)

-4 player Co-op
-Saved Films
-Your own personal online file space which everyone can access (for saved films, game types, map set-ups and screenshots)
-Forge - The ability to edit existing maps (with friends) for your own particular game types (think weapon/vehicle placement, spawn points, objective points, objects etc)
-Levels of customization never before seen in a console FPS

Those are just some of the things which will have contributed to the high scores.

see most of those things have been in pc games for ages (well except for playing on the same machine) and just havening them wouldn't get a game with less hype/marketing anywhere near those scores. It never really seemed imaginative, or anything more than a bog standard shooter.

<sigh>

But thats not how it happened and you know it, you didn't even ask me that until after 4 exchanges of posts, the main reason why I made a rebuttal against your original post was because you didn't come on here to discuss the game at all, is this discussing the game ?

The posts before it were discussing the game as well, first i stated my opinion of the game, then when you replied I said why I thought the game wasn't 8/10 material. Its only then that you started going on about trying to change your mind when all I wanted was you reasons why it was an 8/10 game.

I thought that was wrong, simple as, I don't think anyone can universally decide that, not reviewers, and certainly not anyone on here, I never knew you was this temperamental tbh, quite a surprise, perhaps I should have said what the others suggested in the first place, the 360 wins ? :p.

I wasn't universally stating that, just saying it was my opinion. Im not temperamental really, although your last point sums it up completely. Any time I try to discuss something with anyone on here people always try to turn it into a fanboy argument. You can use smilies all you want but thats not the first time its been said and tbh it's insulting and childish.

Yep, it's making all the right sounds. Every time you hear a little bit of info it gets more exciting. This is one of the games I'm REALLY hoping to see more of at e3.

A bit more diversity in the tracks (a bit less brown :p) and a better soundtrack (or hopefully have in-game music from your HDD by that point) would be great.

Your signature is at the forum max for image size, so you're entitled to 1 line of text no bigger than the default size. It's a little strict I know, but good job asking.

Mine is the maximum image size with one line of text, so no more than mine.

Both games do have one thing in common, fantastic cut-scenes that drive the game.
I just thought Heavenly Sword was unimaginative with ridiculous enemies that all followed the same animation patterns at the same times much like arcade games of 15-20 years ago (I was shocked).
I thought Uncharted had some lovely, unpredictable environments (this is a massive change from the majority of games now) with some lovely textures.

I could see why people would and wouldn't like either though.

Hrmmmm the same animation patterns applied to the hundreds of enemies on screen yeah. But at least it had different enemies to fight and how to fight them. The cutscenes were excellent, funny, imaginative.

Uncharted had unpredictable environments? what do you mean? the environments were either one of the following

1) shooting set piece
2) jumping puzzle set piece

And the layout is arranged accordingly for each. It didnt feel unpredictable to me, the exact opposite in fact! Theres only so many times you can look at rocks and think wow look at the textures on that!

The jetski moments and some of the jumping was quite cool but its nothing that hasnt been done loads of times before.

If they had added an extra 30 - 40% of actual game after the "ending" making it deeper and more interesting then it could have saved itself.

for me Motorstrom is the best Offroad racer this gen, nothing on 360 comes close, it has its flaws but still i find it the best in what it does.

Dude, Stop going off topic :p

But yeah, I loved the game too. I have to be honest, and say they could have done with a few more variations when it came to the tracks. But forgiving that, I had loads of fun playing against my friends.

And you have to remember a console isnt a PC. Halo did a lot for the Xbox as well as Xbox Live, which is why its so highly regarded I would imagine.
I'm not defending it because I dont believed Halo 3 deserved all the 10's that were thrown at it and I'm a huge fan of the series (I'd personally rate Halo 3 7-7.5/10).

What I was trying to do was explain that the scores were not just from the a quick run through of the SP campaign, but from what it offers as a whole. Fair enough you probably dont give a toss about the extras that I listed, but fans of the game do.

Halo always has been a game for fans if you dont 'get it' don't try understanding it because you would be wasting your time.

Also scores dont really mean crap tbh, I mean going by Metacritic GTA 4 should be one of the best games ever made :o Don't get me wrong it was good, but did it really deserve all those 10's it received? I finished it and thought to myself is that it?

From studying 4 years at Uni and that I probably look into the little things a lot more than other people do in regards to models and textures, it's often the small things. A lot of games are quite predictable in their designs, quite often Uncharted wasn't, not in terms of game play (where as you said, shooting set-pieces etc..), but in terms of textures and models.

Many, in fact most, all have predictable designs, even the top games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Halo 3 are quite predictable, you know what you're going to see based on a location.
Take the middle east for example, a very popular environment in a lot of games these days, you know what you're gonna see in that level in terms of models and textures - but anyone who's been somewhere like that or there knows that it doesn't all look like that, in fact, most of it doesn't. It's that level of predictability. It's the little nuances in these, it's hard for me to verbalize what's in my head though, so I'm probably coming off as a bumbling fool.

lighten up dude, I think you took things a little personally which wasn't my intention, from my second post,

I don't mean to sound harsh I'm just trying to make a point, when I say "you" I don't necessarily mean you personally.

which is true, so sorry If I've caused any offence.
