Anybody feel free to continue to host them or play them in SP.
Mind though that I'm player one and you'll end up controlling me, you need to launch a 2nd client of ''openTTD'' and ''join'' your own game, do this by hosting the game at local level, then when browsing servers in the 2nd client, type in your own LAN ip ( so not your internet IP) and it should pop up for yourself and be joinable. Even when hosting public you have to do this as it'll be a dead end if you try to join your own internet ip, when joining your own game use your lan ip...

I'm having to use my bandwidth for other things, besides I turn my pc off when I go to sleep it sounds like a jet again these days and I need to reboot it sometimes.
But even so, if I'd host now again it'd be lagfest, I'm using most of my bandwidth for other stuff most of the day...


But the main reason is, I've had a bit enough of openttd personally atm, just want a few days break from it .

The original TTD is abandonware so a quick google search lists quite a few sites hosting it for free. You only need the data files anyway for the OpenTTD client on install, then you're all set.

I might be up for one. Been using the 32bpp extra zoom level patch so would be getting a version mismatch anyway. Gonna take it off since it looks odd with 8bpp + 32bpp incomplete partial graphics.
