Ninja Gaiden II

Starting on path of the mentor is more of a wtf moment. This game is actualy killing me right now, so much of a step up from warrior and i haven't even completed the first chapter yet. My way of the ninja is flawed somewhere inbetween not stabbing them enough and being exploded lots.

The first 2 chapters are meant to be some of the hardest in the game for Mentor and Master Ninja because you don't have the weapons and their upgrades yet, keep at it because it does get 'easier'

Oh stop teasing me with those promises. But i understand, got much easier once i could use the proper XXYY combo and izuma drop.

edit: Got first boss after a fair few tries. Getting the rod of valour will be a major pain in the bottom.

Hmmm this is going for 24.98 on a certain site. Never played the NG games before but this has always interested me. Worth a punt? or like said above should I just get it on rental?

Go for it , I had a few hours on it last night and think its great.
I restarted after trying my hand at the warrior difficulty and getting repeatedly laced by the first boss.
I am a big fan of NG1 on xbox though...

Im loving the improvements in 2 , extra moves , extra weapons , more gore , eviler (is that a word?) looking enemies.

I am so stuck on that worm thing on level 8 I think.

I just can't beat him at all he just beats the crap out of me every time

I got a little smacked around by him too

Seems UT's in his face and then run away quickly is the answer - but then I died and it chucked me back to the save point outside the caves

Oh well back to trying to beat my 190 combo on a metal spider

Im up to the chapter 3 boss so far...

Ive got the lunar (love that weapon) up to level 3 , Dragon Sword to level 2 and Talons still at 1.
I know I should upgrade the dragon up to 3 next but I dont really want to use it - got bored of it in NG1.
Is it worth upgrading the talons? Ive not used then much as Im not too keen on them so far and want to try to conserve cash for the sword and later weapons.

Is cash hard to come by? Is there a cash generator like the Hans Bar run in NG1 that I can do time and time again to increase resources?

There is no need to upgraade all of the weapons in NG2 as the game has to be completable using only one weapon at a time to get all eight weapon acheivements. As for cash, it's easier to get it than in Ng1 i think, managed to get all weapons upgraded with plenty to spare by the end of the game on acolyte and warrior. But from my experiance areas with respawning enemies will not spawn indefiniatly to stop farming. But if you can do the valour tests they pocket a good amount of money.

Stuck on the first boss in chapter 2 on mentor, soo silly hard to beat, may have to start again and upgrade lunar instead of the dragon sword for those easier jump->izuna drops.

I found him easy and never used a single arrow

Swim in the water and swim to his juicy, fleshy belly

ATTACK!

Might grab you once or twice but the only other thing is you might get wet

I found it easier to spam arrows myself, swimming in the water was too hard for me, i only went for his dorsal fin at the time.

Ahhh **** this game, ive played one chapter and im already getting fed up of it...the camera angles are stupid....half the time dont even even which way im facing

Been stuck on chapter 2 for the past few days and i cant seem to beat the boss. Anyways good thing i got it cheap lol...cant be bothered with it anymore...so back it goes for a trade in...think ill stick to GTA4 and finish that off properly.

Anyways bloody difficult game...its one of those games that will make me smash my 360 to bits so ill quit while behind

Playing on Acolyte level i think...just having a crap time beating that spider boss and his minions...chapter 2 boss. Really doing my nut in

...im using the staff...try charging but dont even get that far where it charges fully so i can unleash some combos....think the best combo ive got on this boss fight is about 20 hits then i get the smackdown by the spider dude.

I like the game but i swear its gonna give me a heart attack

Use the Sword, i think by the soider you can do Jump and Y attack to dart at them, good move on the spider

Oh well tried with the sword but that was even worse. Anyways cant be bothered with the game...its one of those games you either good or suck balls at and i know which one i belong to

Oh well hopefully havent lost too much on it but ive given it enough go's now and if i cant even get past the 2nd chapter then this game is just stupidly difficult.
