It's a good explanation for his lack of fitness and pace last season though. Several times he was really shown up by Tevez.
Possible rumours this week for Spurs include an official approach for Podolski (as Bent is likely to move on) and the hunt for a new DM continues.
I've heard that Ramos had been granted permission to talk to Podolski once E2008 concludes. However, I wonder if the player actually knows this.
He does indeed. He was quoted as being flattered in the interest from Spurs.
Why would a player who's at one of the biggest teams in the world be flattered by Spurs' interest![]()
On the contrary, why wouldn't he be?
Apparently Fergie says we are looking at only 1 signing this summer![]()
Chelsea will spend and spend big, we can't afford to let them get their noses too far infront
.. and risk being subjected to a subs bench!..Because he currently plays for a team who won their domestic league and are in the Champions League next season whereas Spurs finished 11th and are only in the UEFA Cup next season.

Regardless of whether you keep Ronaldo or not I think the main issue is chelsea will bring in some pretty big hitters this year and even though they had a pretty poor season they still got close in the end.
I think Manu's best chance next year is that whoever chelsea buy dont settle because you cannot out spend them and dont have a manager like wenger to get the best out of what you have.
