It should have a Broadcom chipset if one is to max out the connection - some of the Netgears come with BC chipsetsThe suppied router is ok
Netgeat 834 GT is one - I cracked a Sky issue which are cheap as chips Just add Sky in the front when looking - then if it aint stated ask the seller

Same but from Aquiss if all goes well. I'm a bit concerned at the rate of which they are expanding though and whether they are increasing network capacity proportionally.

i think u need V3 or above firmware to get it working with 1.3mb upload speed from BE.

just update to the latest firmware

I was thinking the same, this is the only thing I wasn't sure about with moving over and the good thing that came with Entanet as a reseller was the way they communicated to the customers about network capacity, what was being done to make sure the quality of service was that of a high standard, The Entatool was a very useful tool for looking at central load etc.

Also, Entanet seemed to be ordering new centrals at a good rate! Before the capacity was full on there latest one, they had already put an order through on 2 new centrals I belive at some point in the last few months.

Firmware Version V3.01.38 - The latest for my router

anyway of seeing how much my line can handle? 5MB etc

That seems pretty poor. they do recommend that you use the router that they provide so that they can calibrate the line for you properly, wait a few weeks and stick the netgear in place of the thompson one. I'm using a DG834G V2 with no issues at all.

Looking at your stats you seem to be a long way away from the exchange so speeds wont be superfast, if you paid for 24mb unlimited you may want to downgrade.

^ i've not done anythign yet , waiting for my mac code from ukfsn and im 1.5 miles ( 2.4 km) – about 6 mins by road to the exchange

I guess we will see how good BE's network is now they seem to be upgrading exchanges like mad, i got a feeling the leechers will be jumping over and killing it tbh.

I hope not im sure i was reading on the BE* forum that they will close sign up's to a certain exchange if it reaches capacity on there equipment??

Could be wrong tho.

My BeBox has synced at 9.2Mb and 1.2Mb up with a 45dB attenuation and 6dB noise margin.

Send a ticket into BE and ask them to switch you onto Fastpath and a 6dB profile - make sure you mention that you understand that your line may become unstable and reverted back to interleaved etc - touchwood though it'll be rock solid stable with lower latency and a higher connection speed :)
