Super Stardust HD you can select music tracks. Pain also lets you do this but doesn't support aac just yet (mp3 is apparently fine). I don't think either support selecting music via the xmb though (yet?).
 
I was playing MGO when it suddenly froze so I turned off the system by holding down the PS button.

When I started it again it said it was rebuilding the database, then restarted. :confused:
 
It would seem that pressing triangle on a freind makes my console freeze.


Oh well, not as if I speak to any of you lot any way. :p

I've had that before the update and lost all my save games! I back them up now! :p

That's apparently been confirmed now via a reliable source, though still unofficial of course!

Considering it has not really taken them that long to fix it don't think it's strange they missed this issues in the first place? I mean it couldn't have been anything that major to have been fixed in a few days! Maybe someone uploaded an older file by mistake or something? :p

Sony has announced that there is planned PSN maintenance on Wednesday from 07:00 to 13:00 BST.

As many of you know, we released PS3 firmware update v2.40 last week, but had to take it offline temporarily because, for a limited number of users, the XMB wouldn’t display after the update was installed. We’ve been able to fix the problem, and I’m happy to report that firmware update v2.41 will be released shortly.

We want to extend our apologies to the PlayStation community for any inconvenience. Now we’ll be looking forward to seeing everyone online and racking up those trophies!

I think this is somehow related to the fix tbh. I think some people's machines went pete tong with 2.40 due to them turning off or on at the wrong times during update or something.
