He's not wrong, nor is he not a gamer for 'not liking probably the biggest game ever' (btw, it's not - it gets outsold by other game series).
Some people in here need to learn to grow up and stop with petty bickering because someone doesn't like something PS3 related, it's gone on too long now and it's getting pathetic.

I think sometimes though its hard to tell whether people are giving thier honest opinion or are just basically trolling. For example if someone started a thread saying the 360 sucks ass is that acceptable then? & do you expect people not to comment or bicker? I think thats the case here, saying it sucks so bad with no reason leads people to believe that they arent giving thier honest opinion and lets not also forget that its a forum.

Well ive not switched and wont be switching my 360 on until ive completed it and at least done one more play through! Its a top class game! My missus always says when she comes in the room though that I dont play the game and im sat there watching something! I just send her away though!
Bah, never played through MGS3, got annoyed with it.
Guess I should watch a youtube or other story explanation video. Probably about 10 double crosses, some machines, some more double crosses and new characters, then some more machines and an epic ending

I thought it lost its way in Act 3. I am now on Act 4. The cutscenes are visually very impressive but as with others much of the story is lost on me, and I suspect for most players too, as only a few will have played all the earlier games.
Some of the game stretches credibility too far. Hit with a rocket launcher? Eat some packet noodles and you're fine again. Hide in this easy to carry oil drum...

I'd reply to TurnipHead & Jive-Zombie but i dont really think i should have to justify my opinion on a game. Considering it is just that, opinion. One that is just as valid as any other opinion on the matter.

What games outsold it then??? Probably nothing interesting.
Controls are fine and the game is the best i've ever played.

One of my friends watched me 'play' through most of it, he kept accidentally calling it a film
To be fair, its known more for its cut scenes/story than gameplay. It could've been a straight up anime and still would've been just as popular.

If you look at stats, MGS3 only sold 3.7m copies TOTAL. Halo 3 shifted more than that in its first two-months and now has over 8m in total, so to say

Is a little ridiculous, because those that are outselling it are all major franchises. Some people love Halo3, some people don't, but people weren't on their high-horses when people said they didn't like that.
