Why do they bother?

I once had a bit of a rolling race with some guy in quite a nice flash Merc, an E class I think it was.

Foot to the floor through the gears on the motorway, I was just edging past him.

I turned to look at him as I went past and the look on his face was priceless... he was smirking :D Probably thinking "WTF is under the bonnet of that thing?!?!"

Nah, he was thinking; "Oh my god! There's nobody driving that thing!" :D

This is getting like top gear, that's the last, I promise!

My sisters the best!

"STOP IT! SLOW DOWN! YOUR GOING TO KILL US ALL!!!!!"

mwahahahahaha! :D

I mean when I'm in the car as a passenger and mum is driving I get her to do the whole GP thing, without her realising...I'm an annoying and bring out the worst in my mum's driving. :D

InvG

Done it plenty of times with my mum and dad in the car.

However, the consequences are my dad swearing at me in full on punjabi, while I'm laughing at the person I've beaten.

She probably wasn't after a 'race', she just wanted to be ahead of you off the lights.

Either way I'd rather have been in the Merc :p

You would though wouldn't you. :p

Whatever she wanted she didnt get, and in the process got beat by a "banger" :o

lol! Plus a lecture on how bad a driver I am :p

So true, driving fast in their minds = straight accident. I've let the back end slip around wet roundabouts while they've been in the car.

"Putar, the car is slipping"
"It's the Rain"
"Oh Ok"
"ESP's Off"
"ESP What?"
"Never Mind"

lol.

Why would you turn ESP off in your car when you are just driving somewhere normally with your parents

Because it's ALPHA to turn ESP/DSC/ABC off when driving in the wet!

Saying that, I don't even have the option to turn it on in my car. That must make me god!

I like the way you showed her you didn't want a traffic light GP by having a traffic light GP.

Well I wanted to avoid one hence pulling into the left lane, she left me no choice when I stopped at the lights and she stopped behind me and then pulled into the right hand lane.

Yea, it sucks when you've no choice but to nail it off the lights. Imagine if you had a 1.2 litre car, you'd... I dunno, what would have happened?

If you drive a 1.2 litre car you don't have the irresistible urge to drive in front of everyone in the country.

If Someone sets off quicker than me, they were going to drive quicker than me anyway, if they then proceed to drive like Terry Wogan, I wait until I can overtake.

I turn the ESP off, because I can. It's after I've dropped them off, then the fun really begins.

Wow, totally awesome. Do you also drive with your sunroof open, becuase you can? It seems like a rather odd thing to do really. I can't see any need to switch it off in normal driving when giving people a lift, let alone drift around roundabouts whilst doing so.

I suspect you are an internet driving hero and that nothing of the sort really happens in your car.

It's after I've dropped them off, then the fun really begins.

What car?
