The reason I want a free MMO is that I am won't playing it too much (may be only 1 nights a week) used to play wow but paying £10 hardly seems worth it.. Playing normal PC game is kinda lonely..

If the mmo communinity is like the people in OCUK then it would be perfect

The only free one I ever played was back in the old text based MUD games. Medievia was a terrible time sink as a student. I can't believe those old text MUDs are still going too

I found it so repedative and boring. Theres hardly any multiplayer required either. The one i played you got a group of AI that used to kill anything before you got a chance too lol just run at the enemys the AI will do the rest

On a serious note, the only MMO's I've played were paid ones, don't play any at the moment. Was going to play Warhammer but not sure now

Its a great game.
What you're saying about AI, its similar to the levelling aspect of games like WoW, which is mostly solo stuff. In GW you dont solo, but you can take AI characters with you instead of real players, to make it faster. However, similar to WoW, the end game stuff generally requires you to party with other players.

Yep the endgame stuff can be just a hard a WoW.

Other free MMOs that might be worth a look are; Shaiya, Perfect World, Rohan, Fiesta, and Holic.

You have obviously not played any of the deeper/high end/endgame areas then as some of them AI players arn't alowed, others they'd be slaughtered within seconds...

When you start getting into the later parts of the game real people are a must.

Yeah, in GW the AI are optional. You can take them, or party with real players. Its a great idea, because you can't always find other players with the same goals as you, so rather than forcing you to go it alone, you can have a party of AIs, even if they are somewhat lacking in brain power.

Also, I see nobody has mentioned Maple Story. Good!
