Emo's in Apple shop

The laptops have one physical button but have a right click functionality built in.

Most PC users tend to go on about a 'lack of functionality' when speaking about Macs, when in fact they mean 'a lack of me knowing wtf I'm doing if I'm not on Windows'.

You don't like it because you've not used it. Granted, you've every right to still not like it once you know how it actually works, but spazzing out about Macs being style over substance is just silly. There's plenty of substance, it's just that prodding at the mouse in the Purple Shirt shop isn't the best way to learn.

I've used Macs quite a bit thanks. I work with design firms a lot who being artsy lfetist uphill gardeners swear by them:p;), as such I've spent quite a bit of time being forced to use macs.

I am aware of the brilliant feature on the laptops of being able to press a special button "for the built in right click functionality." I just think that is hilarious though, what is wrong with having two buttons on a laptop?

Anyway, not trying to offend, I get preached to a lot about Macs but every time i look at their products I see over-priced, under-performing hardware disguised by a pretty package.

It's just what you're used to, I find not being able to scroll with two fingers, and having two separate buttons, absolutely infuriating when I have to use Windows laptops, because my fingers are used to doing it 'my' way.
You can set them so you just prod the trackpad with two fingers as well which ex-windows people/switchers seem to like. The freaks

OMGINTORNET SERIOUS BUSINESS!

It is!!!
Haven't you heard all them things about earthquake? The internetz told me!

Haha - yes, sorry I am extraordinarily ignorant! I forget macs rock and PCs suck

My apologies if you took it too personally but I was just pointing out that ignorant statement you've made, and at no point have I claimed the Mac is superior than a PC. I love them both, both have their pros and cons but sadly, majority of the people attack the macs before they used it - simply by parroting.

You claim that Macs are expensive, that much is true. They are expensive - but as a package with everything (almost), it's a fair deal Plus, the re-sale of a Mac is brilliant! I managed to sell it on and return back to a decent Windows laptop simply because I needed a bigger/higher resolution screen and the spare cash for family reason.

It's much harder to re-sale your PC for that type of money after the same period of time.

I didn't take it too personally, relax. I was just messing around.

As I've said elsewhere I have used macs so I'm not parrotting  I even conteplated buying a macbook as my last laptop but didn't because I wanted a small screen size and discrete graphics together (oh and a second mouse button.) I think macs are over-hyped and mac-users take themselves a bit too seriously ;)

Is it emo students or just students in general? Are you just generalising, I got called an emo the other day, I was thinking i'm 28 and i'm wearing a tweed trilby. How in the hell am I emo. I think it's a chav way to sum up everyone who dresses a bit odd.

Students like macbooks, they're cool things to have aint they.

I love my macs, if I could run logic on pc I probably would stick with my macs just because they look so damn good. Aesthetics are motivating.

I have a nice pc case, but nothing comares to a mac pc case and monitor.
Macs are the only machines that don't look tacky in white imo, usually white pc's look cheap and nasty.

And osx is good to look at, xp and vista can be tiresome.

Seen the eclipse 62, it's a cracking case, i'm using a lian li v2100 with my main rig which is a big beastly monster.
They're good cases but they aren't light hearted like the macs are in terms of looks.

Opinions can be wrong, yeah sure...

I'd rather be working on a good looking light hearted mac using logic 8 (nothing quite compares to it) than using a big black hardcore beast like my main rig.
It's like stepping out of the office and into the gallery, pc's just don't ever look as good, or feel quite as nice to work on.

FOUR

THEY HAVE FOUR

YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS ARRRRGH THEY'VE HAD MORE THAN ONE MOUSE BUTTON FOR YEARS

*explodes*

Stupidly the laptops still only have one button though. Having a mouse handy is great unless you want to use a laptop for what it was actually designed for, ie. mobile use.

It's the main reason I've not bothered getting a Macbook.

Akasa Eclipse 62 I used to have makes Macs look cheap TBH. :)

Be honest, it didn't make them look cheap. The Eclipse has a big hole in the side so you can see its guts, and a flimsy plastic front. It looks guff.

The Mac Pro is made of 3mm thick aluminium, and the entire iMac screen surround is machined out of one block of aluminium.

To say an Akasa PC case makes a mac look cheap is just silly. Come on now.
