An Observation on GD

All I'm saying is that I hope, for your sake, that you have more to worry about in life than the quality of posts in GD!.

Who said I was worrying. You can make a comment without it being a worry. Don't know why your taking it so personally. I've just politely put across my view on topic.

I posted a reply to the OP and included a few examples I dont know why that seems to bother you so much.

I like the way threads breakup into less serious and funny posts. I mean how many Posts do you need which say . Get a So and So lock for your door.

I was about to defend GD quite passionately, but the last 2 pages of this thread have been crap, I guess the point has somewhat been proved.

Completely honestly, I love GD. Its where I spent 70% of my time on the forum. I remember what I like, I ignore and forget what I don't. I contribute to it quite a bit and I wouldn't like to think that I post garbage or that I am part of the problem. So I will defend it. GD is fun, light hearted and often very amusing.

Infact, I think the serious debates in GD are often better than those in speakers corner, which is the domain of those hell bent on certain topics - particuarly global warming and science and religion, both of which are tierd and done to death.

OCUK remains the best forum I have ever been part of by a long way. Without GD, it would suffer. Agree or disagree, thats what I think.

Don't take it so seriously, don't get too offended, and be funny, not silly.

Then enjoy :)

Take your head out of your rear end and have a look around

Why do you care that I care. Get a life.

There's a url bar at the top of your browser, you have the whole internet at your disposal, there are many other sites for you to bugger off to.
I notice this a lot in GD, too much baiting while discussing the topic. Although you could say "who cares, it's a forum", it's purely designed to promote an inappropriate response and not counter a point of argument with regards to the original post.

Now, personally, I couldn't care less and sometimes it's ****ing hilarious but I guess this is what the OP is talking about.

It depends on your expectations. If an answer to a question is the purpose of the thread and it's been answered then fair enough, let people troll, but if a wider discussion is sought and the opinions of many make the thread then it's easy to see why this can be frustrating to those who care to take a serious side to the discussion.

The solution is, take it or leave it. It's an open forum with fair rules and if a thread goes off the rails, well, it's nothing new.

I got one word for you, EVOLUTION!!!

no one likes a hypocrite i guess.

You did seem to across as a mature person, but this thread has made me see other wise. Everyone knows what Ben M is like, it didn't take long for people in Motors to take a pitchfork to him - joinig the club?

sure why not, I'd rather be immature than trying to climb up on a high horse, and laud it over people.

I'm here for a laugh nothing more.
