Well Done Pirates-DMC4 Sales Poor

So I would just like to thank all the idiotic people who pirated this as it obviously decreases the chances of Resident Evil5 ever reaching the PC or Capcom continuing their support.

Why they did not put the same (uncracked so far) DRM on it as Alone in The Dark is a mystery....

Well the benchmark graphically doesn't look like my thing and i really need something special on the game to convince me to buy a hack'n'slash type game. I know a lot of other people feel this way, that has more to do with it than piracy. Frankly this is more of a console game.

Pirates would have not bought the game in the first place, I'd think them idiots would have realized this by now. They download every single game on the site that's popular they can find to try it out, they would never buy so many retail games...

Also I have no idea why people find it a bad game? It runs better and looks prettier than on consoles, and the controls are the same, provided you can afford a 10€ ps2 imitation pad... There are no loading times, no glitches, etcetc...

geez , is there any real need for some of the responses to the OP's post ? he called what pirates do as idiotic and receives stick for it ? he has a valid point about stealing software and the consequences and gets vilified for it :sigh:

No, he's talking rubbish, he's blaming the poor sales on pirates, that would never buy it in the first place, and probably just tried it out for half an hour then never touched it again...

Besides most pc gamers don't care at all about that game, or the fans have already got an xbox or playstation...

Yet it still did not stop pirates from downloading it.
Nothing does ( unless their hdd's are full :p).
Pirates try most games they see available for download, even if they've never heard of it...

for dvc i would 5 quid but it isnt so its there own foult they not included better safety against pirats no u go in faimous torent site pay 5 quid and download for a month

The only reason I didn't buy it was because the game sucks. If a game is worth buying then I will gladly pay for it (last game i paid for was CoD4 and it's sooo worth the money).

Are you typing with your arse? :p

@ AWPC - They released the game months after the console version, PC gamers aren't their target audience, there was no advertisement and it was rare to see it in shops. Of course it didn't sell well.

Nothing but generalising, blanket statements. I want my 30 seconds back from reading your posts.

Not generalizing, observations on myself and everyone I know.

Well, that's you isn't it. Let me say something here...

I download pirate games now and again, but in the last 12 months I've bought more games than I know what to do with and I haven't even completed most of them. I even bought Mass Effect for the PC despite owning it on the Xbox 360 already, and more games are out soon that I fully intend to buy (Spore and Fallout 3 in particular).

I used to download music before Last.fm started doing massive amounts of long previews, now I don't. I put four albums on order just yesterday and two are over £10 in value, one of which is an import from Europe.

I download movies quite often, yet I still have over 40 DVDs in this room alone and that's not including the ones I have downstairs, and that's also not splitting up box sets. I have more DVDs than I have room for.

I downloaded The Dark Knight before it came out in the UK, I am going to see the film at Odeon with a mate soon.

So now you know, there's one pirate out there who's not just out for a free ride. I wouldn't be afraid to bet there's many pirates like me, and I don't appreciate you calling me a cheapskate just because you're one.

Thanks.

I never used the word cheapskate ? So stop talking rubbish ( I am not calling you a cheapskate) , I just said most pirates download everything they can find, later added that that's based on my own observations, obviously you can disagree because most people I know are the same age as me, think similar to me, have more or less the same tastes, etc...

You can't say you're honest if you download games, sorry but you aren't, even if you buy them after...

What makes you say I don't buy games ? I never said I didn't... You've just done the exact same thing you accused me off, generalizing...

Just like crytex was moaning about poor sales with crysis and blaming the pirates and not the fact a lot of people weren't happy how it ran on their systems when it was said that a good dualcore and a mid/high range card would run it well.
When even a gtx and a quad at the time couldn't run it as promised.
I liked the jungle part but game got bogged down later on with my 320.

edit:- i like stream as well brought quite a few games from there,i think the I.D. pack is great

Ok so you're not saying pirates are cheapskates, just saying they're compulsive downloaders who "won't stop until they run out of hard disk space" and that they "wouldn't have bought the games in the first place".

Both are completely wrong in my case, so you're still misrepresenting pirates here.

You can't say you're honest if you download games, sorry but you aren't, even if you buy them after...

I already edited the word "honest" out of my post while I was rewording it all.

What makes you say I don't buy games ? I never said I didn't... You've just done the exact same thing you accused me off, generalizing...

You said yourself that pirates download games "they wouldn't have bought in the first place", so make up your mind and start being consistent if you don't want me to get the wrong end of the stick and think you're a cheapskate.
