Uncharted on the PS3

Easiest place to get dynomight is at the very start of the jeep chapter, on the right shortly after going through the first tunnel three guys run out right next to a barrel. Took me about 5 mins to get the 5x dynomight trophy.

The combo ones can be registered in the opening chapter, not sure what you could be doing wrong, just keep trying.

The sneak attack trophy can be easily obtained in the fortress chapter, complete the platforming section then the first enemy you see in the chapter will have his back to you. Kill him then let his mates kill you and repeat, hopefully if you're like me you only needed a couple more stealth kills for the trophy anyway, took about 2 mins to do.

The ledge trophies are best obtained in the chapter after the SECOND jet-ski chapter. When you start, jump into the water and go around the waterwheel, climb up onto the side of the bridge, there'll be three dudes to your right, just pick em off and reload that chapter. Takes about 5 mins.

excellent tips there guys - thanks ;)

I want the platinum trophy so I guess I'm going to have to play it through again on difficult!

I am on Chapter 15 now and I will definitely be starting on crushing as soon as I finished. This is pretty much a rare occasion for me, I never usually complete games once, let alone twice :p

When I play it through on crushing it will be my third play thorugh :o May leave it a week or two before I do that though :D

Got this in the mail today, played about an hour of it and turned it off. After playing MGS4 non stop since it came out, its hard to play any other 3rd person game.

Why is that? Uncharted and Gears both do third person better than MGS4.

Where shooting is concerned, MGS4 falls short, then again Uncharted isn't really better in that department, the gunplay in MGS4 just lacks something, it doesn't feel fierce like it should, that's even with a DS3.

Id say MGS4 does 3rd person much better than Uncharted. Its a hell of a lot more fine tuned! Which it has to be for slow moving stealth envirnoments, shooting is much better as well.

You should have played past act 2.

What annoys me about MGS4 is how Snake moves, he looks like a proper *******. I don't like the shooting as it feels so...well, stale.

I'm past act 2, not really gripped by the game though which is a shame, I was glued to the past titles, definitely not an AAA this time around.

I just found controlling Snake a lot better than controlling Drake. The controls in MGS4 are just much more refined and better than in uncharted, to me anyway. Will give uncharted another go, I'm just not in the mood to playing anything else other than Metal Gear right now.

you not liking it is one thing, saying that its not an AAA title however is just silly

the shooting and guns are not "fierce" in mgs4, but the aiming is good and the controls are fluid. the amount of actions it fits into the controller and how well it executes them is excellent. all 3 games you mentioned are good at what they do.

robert1986, you should give it a little more time... i remember uncharted having a pretty slow start but it really picks up :D

MGS4 is best enjoyed playing stealthy, the most fun I had was a no kills/ no alerts run on Solid Normal and Uncharted is more a shootfest with (at some times) endless spawning pirates

I will. Its a good game so far. The voice acting is top notch. Its just coming off of MGS4, everything else just feels abit dull.

just done it on hard
the tips about not using the cover system really helps in places
will give crushing a try out still to find 14 treasure too

So what's the difference between normal and crushing then? Is it just the amount of enemies or do you also get less health etc?

on the strength of this thread, im going to download the demo

One of my favourite ps3 games (on my 3rd playthrough, want to finish it on hard then do crushing at some point) but the demo actually put me off the game to begin with, doesn't do it enough justice :)
